LOL seriously??? I don't know that the Old testament was written way before the New??? Yes I do know about Judaism and I know that it only follows the OT. BUT as far as the WHOLE bible goes. The old testament contains tons of prophecies of Jesus in Micah, Psalms, and especially in Isaiah...which all leads to the birth of Christ who came from the line of fucking Abraham in Genesis.

The bible also allows divorce and alimony. And the only reason why it includes Christians and Jews is because it was written way after the old and new testaments. But just because it includes texts mentioning them how does that make it "forgiving"?

The BIble allowed divorce (sometimes) in the Old Testament but revoked that right in the second, by Jesus Himself:

And its more "forgiving" because Christians do not allow salvation through anyone but Jesus, so Jews and everyone else goes to hell.

I said that you haven't met most black and asian people so this is impossible. You obviously know nothing about mesopatamian culture. The old testiment of the bible is just like every other religion to come out of mesopatamian culture- religion has always been used as a method of control and saying that something good is going to happen is just another way of allowing for the next king or whatever to take over. EVERYONE was the son of god or a messanger of god or chosen by god in the fertile cresent, in the same way that other cultures had the mandate of heaven, or simply said that kings were gods. I mean, just look at the story of Hammurabi- it's the same story as Moses, and both of them used their special relationship with god to justify their leadership.

The whole point of the bible was like keeping a journal to see what makes god angry and what makes him happy in a place with constant warfare over resources.
