Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Bowie, obviously.

Maybe there's not much difference there...

Rozz.
As you can see, leather jackets, skirts and makeup are my vices.
Edit: Also, sex booze and violence, but you get what I mean.

Every time I see Andrew Eldritch's face I start thinking about This Corrosion and chuckle to myself as "hey now, hey now now" fills my head.

Well, I guess we could have worse people to be compared to! I used to get Ozzy Osbourne and Dani Filth...so Anna Varney and for some strange reason, Boy George (ha ha!) are definitely an improvement. Helena Bonham Carter is definitey awesome, I really like the way she looks.
I mean, my hair is different to hers I have literally half of my hair shaved off as opposed the the patch at the back of the head and my make-up is heavier as well, I think that wearing nose chains and not drawing on my brows just might be the thing that makes people click.
The thing is, I don't look good as one of those gothy girls who look like vampire vixens...lol, so I just go for the ugly thing and Varney is one of the few people I've seen do it. If you catch my drift?

I really don't get why so many people adore her so much, I mean she isn't completely terrible but not above average either.

Helen Hunt as Lynne Stone from Girls Just Want to Have Fun (it might disappear seeing as how it's from Blogspot, just Google if you must)

The Young Ones, though I'd be more apt to take after Mike, Vyv and Rick (!) in the fashion department (no particular order and NO yellow overalls or his pigtails) regardless of gender

I am an adoring fan of Anna Varney for about 15 years now. I think her style is unique and amazing. Would post a pic of yourself on the pic thread? Please?
As for myself, I go more for the Morticia Addams look (if only I had straight hair), or Helena Bonham Carter in Sweeney Todd.

No, not at all. She isn't pretty but that's the kind of thing I like to go for. I like the whole wierd, ugly thing, it's awesome. That's why I like the way she looks, it's not "ugly-pretty" or anything like that it is just plain and simple ugliness. I think it's beautiful. Which sounds like a total contradiction lol, I know.

Bernie Dexter, but that goes without saying because even though she says she didn't do it on purpose we all know it's a big fat lie and she looks just like Bettie Page.

Of course, Annie Lennox, Bowie, Siouxsie, Robert, Bettie, Louise Brooks, Mortica Addams, etc. all had any influence on my style at some point.
When I was alot younger, I really dug their look, cute but dark.
Strawberry Switchblade
Also, chicks from Roxy Music videos & album covers always seemed uber glamourous to me when I was younger. They were so make up and perfect looking!! Oh yeah, and some of women in Depeche Mode videos had that mysterious Eurpoean sexiness about them.
