....well at least you tried...at least once the child is grown and realizes that she has a horrible name you can tell her that you....tried to convince her parents to not name her that. Then she'll realize that her uncles cooler than her parents and then you win.

BTW, AC, congrats on the niece. Name sounds like "Do nada." Bet she gets called that at least once. Parents should get the -- dare I say it? I have squirrels in my yard, three to be exact. I call them Rocky (okay, it's lame, so bite me), Mrs. Rocky and 'the triplets.' Been leaving peanuts, apple slices, the usual out for them. Found a dime on my porch one day. Thought, "How good is that? I got tipped by a squirrel!" Okay, so yesterday, I forgot to leave anything out for them. Sooo, when I go out the door to go to work, one of the little beggars had left a lump of coal on my porch. A lump of coal no less!! I'm thinking, "Great. At least I already know what I'm getting in my stocking from Santa Squirrel." I'm thinking, "Hmmm. Squirrels are rodents. They carry diseases. Otherwise --- squirrel stew."

Firstly, the boys at work let me drive the grader and excavator which was pretty fun. Well actually, I needed them to move some stuff out of my way so I could peg some levels for them, but they were busy having a chat and told me I could do it myself, so I did.
Then later I spoke to my dad and he's totally awesome and completely supportive of my love of massive machinery. So much so that he's going to pay for me to attend a week long haulpak driving course (it's quite expensive which is why I haven't just done it myself yet). I'm so excited about this I can't even believe it, and hopefully early next year I'll have a new job with much better pay as a result of this training.
Today was great.
