I just watched that yesterday for the first time.
Hilarious movie. That one guy in the black coat with the green button up shirt and red tie who busts out the butterfly knives? His facial emotes were funny as hell during that initial scene where they meet by the car and he gets pissed off by the main character.

Tombstone.
Haven't seen it in a long, long time. Excellent movie, excellent cast.

Probably sucking more than Blair Witch did. I hate Paranormal Activity. Nothing but a snoozefest. Still puzzled to how this movie became so bloody successful.

Or that other movie that just came out recently where some monster that's not-quite-Cthulhu starts attacking New York and some teenagers run around with a camera filming their own deaths.
I should've put that under 'How I want to die' when I wrote my introduction to this forum.
"On live film, which is then turned into a cheesy low-budget movie with crappy special effects and an anti-climactic ending where they edit my death out and I die off camera. Only my screams are heard, which causes my friends to investigate. They all die off camera as well, then <insert antagonistic entity> strays into the camera's field of vision for about five seconds and attacks the camera, causing it to shut off. Fade to black. Scroll credits."

Book of Eli
Absolutely. Amazing. Everyone should watch this movie.
Hamlet 2
It was funny, but also had heart; not what I expected, but still very good. ^_^
I now have "Rock Me, Sexy Jesus" stuck in my head! lol

One on Youtube called "Forbidden Zone". It was done by Richard and Danny Elfman, and is the craziest thing I've seen in a long, long, long time. It was made in 80's, but looks like one of those black and white movies from the 30's. I loved it.

Repo! The Genetic Opera, again.
I needed something on in the background while fighting with the Zune software on my Compy.

Revolutionary Road. Who would've thought that Leo could act?

Ah, that is a beautiful movie!
I just watched The Craft because I was having a fit of eye-candyish nostalgia - and because my daughter hadn't seen it yet.

Paranormal Activity. I actually enjoyed it, idk. I mean it wasn't great or anything, but it entertained me.

Daybreakers
I admit I had been looking forward to this film for a long time. At times it felt oddly-paced with some brief periods of intense action and other longer stretches of filler scenes that could have been shortened or made more interesting. Also, there were a couple glaring plot holes towards the ending, which I found to be slightly abrupt and unnecessarily confusing.
However, overall I enjoyed it and was particularly interested in all the technological modifications that were employed in the film to accomodate the transition to a vampiric lifestyle. Sam Neill turned in the strongest performance of the cast with a refined yet menacing style. Throw in some not-so-subtle commentary on the less-attractive side of human nature and Daybreakers presents a very welcome reprieve from the glut of insipid, toothless vampire offerings of late.

Dorian Gray
I liked the costumes and settings, the photography and the atmosphere. Other than that, the movie is not good at all.
Ben Barnes, who plays Dorian Gray, is very good looking, but the poor chap cannot act to save his life.
And the screenplay is a disaster.

Thank you, I feel more justified in pretending the movie doesn't exist.
I just finished watching the live action version of Mushishi. It was...good. An anime adaptation that was good. I think I need to go lie down.
Well, the anime and manga are still better, but the movie while taking some individual stories from the manga and bundling them all together makes it something new but is true to the original story at the same time. Its a slow paced and mellow movie, but the anime was generally mellow as well, I think this will be a movie for sick days. It was absolutely gorgeous as well, it doesn't hit you over the head with animation or cgi thank god, and when its there you know its not top of the art but they make it fit and seem right, if that makes sense.
I think the translations for the subtitles was off though, like when Nui is talking about Ginko's mother she says she died in a flood when she actually died in a landslide. It felt off in other places but thats the one that stuck out, I'll watch it dubbed next time.

The last movie I watched was "The Book of Eli." Although it did have an excessively religious overtone, I rather enjoyed the movie a lot. It didn't have the cliche pretty-boy white guy as the protagonist for one, and I also love the post apocalyptic environment. People abandoning their "civilized" morals and clinging to the most basic of instincts to survive. It's about as (realistically) dark as you can get, without a bunch of abstract theorizing on the thought processes of a serial killer or someone of equal mental perversion.

Heh, I saw it with a friend of mine today. First time I've seen a film in 3D. Thoroughly enjoyable.
