Question about portable ovens and possible fire-induced death.

I bought a portable oven for baking but I'm worried about using it indoors, as I've only got wooden fixtures to set it on. Has anyone ever used one before, and will it burn a big square shape into my table? If so, what should I set it on in order to use it?

You mean like a toaster oven? Or is this something different?

If it is a toaster oven then it should be fine, my mom has her's on butcher block and it has never caused a problem, though if it doesn't have legs I would suggest that you put it on a trivet.

Oh okay, now I get it. You should be fine as long as you use a trivet, but still keep a fairly close eye on it.

If it is built for being used inside a camping trailer or something, then I suppose it should be ok, right? (Be forewarned, I have no experiance in this, I am just using logic.)
