It's Paxil specifically.
I've been trying to get off of them, but over the past three weeks, I think I've realized I need them. They're fairly tame, as far as anti-anxiety meds go, but getting off of them is a bit of a pain. Without them, I'm just waaaaay too emotional and easily freaked out. [Emotions aren't bad themselves, but I don't like feeling as if my emotions are in control of me instead of the other way around.]
I'm sorry you've had trouble. =( I always read the med literature for any potential side effects.

Well the doctor specifically said that I wouldn't react badly to it, because it's 'non' habit forming. I noticed though that while they were for pain, that I felt especially calm, and at ease while taking them...nothing was stressful, and I didn't get upset about anything. It kinda seemed that life itself was glowy all the time, and I decided that I really liked them. And then when I ran out...I started to feel panicky, angry, I was having horrible body aches, and my jaw in particular was hurting really bad. So I did some research and low and behold I found a shit load of info about how bad tramadol effects people. A lady from a rehab clinic said that she had more people trying to get off tramadol, than cocaine...it's 'that' addicting. I was seriously having thoughts of offing myself..and I'm not that kind of person.

So far, seeing the cats investigate the Christmas decorations is making my day. Every year it's the same thing- They act like they've never seen this stuff before in their life! They are all well into their adult years too. They are 17, 10, 10, and 6 years old. I guess the Holidays bring out the kid in everyone, regardless of species! =)

To have a doctor mislead you like that is a major problem, especially when the information is so commonly known. You're lucky that you weren't on the meds any longer or that you don't form addictions easily, things could have turned out a lot worse. You may want to consider making a complaint against him.

Yah apparently tons of people have made complaints to their doctors about this same issue. But for some reason it's still prescribed anyways. He gave me 2 weeks worth of 50mg pills to take everyday, for abdominal pain...isn't that just kind of odd?

That is actually very odd, especially since there are so many other options. I don't know the specifics of your problem but it seems like there are plenty alternatives that should have been tried first.

I love buying Christmas presents. Only buying for my girlfriend and the kids this year (too many nieces and nephews to make buying for the rest of the family economically viable), but damn, it's fun picking out shit for them. (Plus I got my gf a leather skirt that she'll love almost as much as I do..... it's about knee-length so she'll be able to wear it to class and shit, as well as for purposes which currently exist only in my imagination.)

I sent old skateboard stuff to Cuba. Skaters there can't skate for 3 months if they bust a bearing or something. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But that might be the glühwein though...

Sorry for bringing it up again, I just found this so hilarious I almost shat myself, and thus wanted to share, in hopes of making people shit themselves through the internet.

Personally I'm not opposed to a well-made parody - just the notion that every single one requires a new damn thread.
