Yeah (thanks) I meant in general, like on the news. Example being Richard Pryor died here recently, and everyone knew of it. Even though I understand why, still, and you are in the same boat as me unfortunatly, you get angry that your loved one doesn't make the world stop and say "Aw that's a shame. What a loss."

I concur, Tall One... I'm sorry that some people get off on making others feel bad...

Thanks, guys.

My co-worker wasn't trying to make my feel bad... she genuinely thought I was sick, I guess... but it hurt my feelings.

I have, however, had people make comments just for the purpose of hurting me.

Stars you must be the super nice type... people tend to use us as doormats. LOL! i think "welcome" would suit since so many seem to see it there.

Tall one~ Oh ok... sorry for the misconception.

I guess then it's more like little kids... brutely honest without realizing what they say may hurt someone...

I think i will finally jot down my rant...

Love sick...

My boyfriend of 1+ years is from UAE. I met him when I was searching for band members on a local website and we fell in love. We have been by eachothers side ever since. He took care of me when I almost died from Valley Fever this past year. We hit a rocky patch, but worked things out and are closer than ever at the present time... Everything is perfect! Except his father wants him to return to UAE to work for him....

....

I can't even describe how this makes me feel. I haven't been able to eat for the past 4 days or so. I was a wreck thinking he was going to leave and i would never see him again. Luckily we had a talk and he told me he doesn't want to leave, and he is only going to go to school there, then he will be coming back to move to the Bay area with me. I was grateful for this news, but it still hurts. His dad wants him to leave tomorrow, but I am trying to stall it a bit so I have a little more time with him. He says we will talk every day... and that helps the horrid feeling of emptiness, but I'm still scared.

Whew!
i feel a bit better that i could sort of get that out. i needed that.

Nah, not in this case. It never occurred to her that the difference in my face was due to lack of makeup. She never wears makeup herself and has no hairstyle, so she's not the type to enforce any feminine ideals.

All I'm saying is that it sucks to be snitched on, trust me I know.

After looking back on it, it was the best thing that has ever happened to me. It sucked to know that someone would actually call the cops on you, though.

Come to think of it, my landlord called the police on me. Wierd.

I hate meth addicts with a passion. I had a roommate who was a meth addict who was all used up like Nancy Spungen. In fact that was my nickname for her.The house had many punk bands stay at it while I was there. She slept with a member of each band that came through.*shudders*

That was when I lived in Oakland in California. It was a punk house(I was the only deathrock/goth/punk/whatever everybody else was hardcore punk) in which every single room was used as a sleeping area. I had the front living room, which was actually cool because it was the biggest. It was a two bedroom Victorian with a basement. I honestly don't remember the names of the bands because they were mostly unknown punk bands touring the country who used the house as a rest stop when they played at Gilman in Berkeley.

I met the lead singer of DI,Rikk Agnew of Christian Death/Adolescents,Love And Rockets,Jack Dangers and various other people through the years but nobody really famous while I lived at that house.

My English teacher is driving me insane. I know, teenage rants have got to be getting annoying on a forum where the newbs consist mainly of angst-ridden attention whores, but this woman is insane.

Several days ago, I was called on for talking. (I would go into how I was simply answering someone's question as to what page we were on, but that's another rant all together.) Mrs. Burke went on to give the class a 15 minute lecture on disrespect and immaturity. Apparently, she was going to be forced into sending us to the office, because out parents don't know how to properly handle us. I was enraged. I despise people who claim to know how I was raised. I don't disrespect her because my parents raised me to be an ungreatful little brat, I disrespect her because she's a moron who shouldn't be allowed to teach a class of sophomores about College-Prep English and Literature.

She speeds through subjects we've never seen before, and expects us to pick it up like nothing. We all went from normal, freshman English and Lit, to College-Prep advanced. Granted, we are capable of learning it, but not when we are bombarded with 3 new ways of constructing a sentence, and 2 stories in the same day.

I also hold no respect for people who wear their religion as a badge of honour. On my first day in the class, she introduced herself as a "Faithful Christian, and loyal member of First Baptist for many years." Apparently, God has helped her through life, but he must have overlooked her poor poor posture, and horrible enunciation. For an English teacher, we rarely hear about English. She lectures the class on bahavior daily. Only yesterday, she humiliated a classmate of mine for saying "Bless You" in a "distracting tone."

Ambi its okay shes now on the list.. Next time you go to class do what I did (Keep in mind Im crazy, the bell rang at my old school and I jumped under the table because of the "AirRaid".. My old teachers etc now ignore me). Ask to make an announcement about your newly found 'faith'. When she is over-joyed and lets you go on to say this.. ahem..
"Hello everyone. My name is Ambi and I invite you all to my Baptism. Its on friday at 6pm at the local Cemetery. There will be a live sacrifice of a small child to the Gods of war and afterwards I will be baptised in a pool of pigs blood. "

No wonder my Scripture teacher told me I was evil

Hey, I made the mistake of going to a Catholic school becasue it was supposed to be really good. Not that I have anyrhing in particular against Catholics - but when my form teacher (a 50-odd year old cunt who shoulda damn well known better) tells me I shouldn't be there if I wasn't a Catholic - given that my class alone was around 30% Muslim, it's kinda hard not to take that statement personally - I could't REEEEEALLY pretend to see the logic in that philosophy. It probably didn't help that I used to stick my hand up in RE and publicly pledge alliegence to the Goddess (see my first mistake?) of religious tolerance, should such a creature exist. But what the hell - I was young & crazy and not at all impressed by her siddown-before-I-nail-you-to-a-crucifix look. Go figure.

How hard is it for some people to arrive on time for things? Every single choir practice for the last year the ladies in the choir have been anywhere from 5-30 minutes late (lately it's been the latter). Once or twice I can understand, but EVERY single one?!?! I mean, I'm a patient person, but seeing as how they always spend at least 15 minutes chitchatting to begin the practice with, the fact that they're late pushes the whole thing into an hour and a half long practice (as I was ontime) instead of 45 minutes.

It's not so much the fact that I have anything pressing that an extra 45 minutes will kill me, rather, it's the principle of the thing. I can't stand being late for anything. I've arrived 2 hours *early* for an appointment rather than risking arriving late. Tardiness, to me anyway, implies either disrespect or just general uncaring towards the person running the practice or the practice itself. On a positive note though, their lateness has at least given me an idea for a christmas present I can get for them: watches.

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is 'God is crying.' And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is 'Probably because of something you did.'

Okay Shadowed Aegis, am I still a Goth? - 'cause that just made me laugh out loud
