Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

It wasn't the Adicts. Let's Dance is a band from Edmonton (i think) and they covered it. The show was alright, from what I saw. It was at some run down old platform in the woods, and we got lost looking for it. Only saw the last half of Let's Dance's set, and missed Germ Attak, which is who I actually went for. Oh well, teaches me to start drinking before I get to the show.

Yeah the pregameing is usually all good, but from now on I think it's only for places I've been before. Being lost sucks when you have places to be.
Video of Let's Dance's cover of Numbers
It's a pretty sweet spot, can't wait to go there again.

Haulin' out to Hull - The Krapskraps, a fun bunch of local kids.
Ottawa is right on the Ontario/Québec provincial border. Ontario's drinking age is 19, Québec's is 18. In addition to the year off the age, Hull, the closest city (about 30 mins by bus), is notoriously lax on checking IDs. Personally I've been buying beer there, hassle free, since I was 14.
