It looks more like an elaborate cake for a Halloween party than a wedding cake, which is a problem that I have been running into quite a lot.

Definitely less orange, and I would prefer if it was less "overloaded" with stuff.
I love the tower on top, but flowers, butterflies, spiderwebs, a pentagram, a gothic arch all together? I think it's too much.

My first thought was Halloween as well.
Definately less flowers.
Perhaps a couple at the top of it to say that it is actually about a wedding and not a meeting of architects or whatever may come to mind
But all in all, this is awesome.

Yeah....black cake with a Burtonesque house/crypt/turret thing on top and a pentagram.
Were the couple pagan or did you just assume all goths are pagan?
At a goth wedding do you wish the couple to live unhappily ever after?

yeah, I didn't want to get picky but a pentagram is a pagan sign, not just some creepy symbol to put on anything "gothic"

It's just my opinion, but that cake is some kind of fugly.
This item would go well in the Gothic Wedding thread, though.

The cobwebs and pentagram cheapen what would otherwise be a darkly whimsical confectionary creation. Not quite sure how I feel about the jagged pieces on the third tier, but I admit that I am impressed with the shingles on the roof of the tower.

I think it looks great.
On my screen the "orange" looks red.

Less orange, I would say use purple, or red. Purple is a nice color, and red signifies love.
Instead of the pentagram, make a crooked heart or something like that.

Maybe it will look better if the orange was replaced with white or silvery black. But nonetheless, it's a wicked cake!

It's so amazing I wouldn't want to ruin it by eating it. I agree with Anarasha, it would benefit by having a couple at the top.

Now I know who I will contact if I need a wedding cake

I am partial to having the above should I ever marry. It's cute, it's probably cost effective, and it will feed me in the event of a nuclear holocaust mid-reception.
As to feedback, venus, your cake is definitely beautiful and perfect for this couple's themed wedding if the wedding party has reds and oranges as well as black in the tuxes and dresses.
