the reason I wear black all the time is because it brings out what others deny: death, darkness, shadows, the unknown. Its beautiful, but its hidden

TeeHee, exactly. Black says so much, but it doesn't even make a noise.

I find it funny, when people think they are goth because they were black. It's hilarious.

But people never get the fact that not EVERY one is a conformist.

Well, what about yourself? You are one of the few people on this forum to actually go about correcting people.

I suppose, but still, By telling them to comform, you are still standing out, meaning you are not conforming.

I always wear black.
In my spare time it's accompanied by rivets, chains and loose hanging pieces of cloth; at work I just wear a black t-shirt and pants... Why?
Well I can think of a number of reasons, but mostly I think it can be explained with the simple fact that I JUST LOVE IT!
It's a fetish, pure and simple..
It looks good, feels good and so, it must be good...
I do not, however, consider myself to be "Goth" but most of the people around me do, except the Goths who would most likely call me a "Mansonite" or something like that.. (Yes, I think he has made some good numbers, and that he has a good sence of fashion, now leave me alone!)
The reason that I wont call myself a Goth is the fact that I can't figure out precisely what you have to do to disserve such a label..

I have to wear uniform to school. But when I wear eyeliner, however, I get called a goth or , in arab closed mindedness, a "devil worshipper". *Very Annoying!!* There are about 4 or 5 goths in the whole school.
I wear black 'cause its my favorite color and expresses how I feel... It makes me feel really comfortable and confident...But it gets you unwanted attention(where I am in the world)that I really dislike.

Up here:
You wear black = You worship the devil
You worship the devil = You're gay (???)
And so: You get yelled at, taunted and gennerally considered to be a lower being..
No beatings as of yet however...
In short:
Old people hate you
Young people mock you
And us "blackers" of all kind have to stick together..

Over here:
You wear black = You worship the devil
You worship the devil = "oh my god" I'm calling the police.
And so: You get alot of unwanted attention, comments, fights and police trouble
Yeah I know how you feel, almost the same thing here.
Old people hate/get scared of you
Young people pick fights and comment... Sometimes call the police ( Run for it )
And, like you said, "blackers" of all kind have to stick together...
Tough world we live in....people just don't know.

I don't like taking shit from anyone... But sometimes I just have to put up with it. I am who I am and I don't give a flying fuck what arabs think. They're 3rd world, close minded people that have no idea what the hell is going on in the outside world... Honestly, I got used to how they think, but that isn't going to change me and never will.. If it did change me, then I won't be here right now.

Many Arab countries are fairly well-developed. I lived in a true third-world country for five years-- Saudi Arabia and Bolivia just don't compare.

Black is me
;-) I personally wear black because I am drawn towards it. I actually hate the color white unless it is paired with white as a logo.I am also in mourning for my dearly departed Mother who died of lung cancer. She was the one shinning light inmy life, and when she went away I didn't feel there was any need to wear anything but dark colors again. I feel that wearing black clothing is comforting and keeps people away form me that will do me harm.
