A house.
Probably the last thing I'll be buying for a long time. I mean apart from food and shit that I need, obviously.

My exciting life of spending money today: Taking one of my cats to the Vet which included prescription food of the dry and canned varieties, blood work, a urinalysis, and a poop test when the little dude gives me some to take in.
Also, my tuition and my daughter's tuition.

Black comforter, two black pillowcases, a purple sheet set (flat sheet, fitted sheet, one pillowcase) and bedskirt, a ribbon necklace, purple cheap amethyst-like pendant, purple water marbles (ohgod water marbles), and red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, blue, purple, black, and white plain yarns, along with purple, black, two green, and two yellow chunky yarn skeins. Got a glass vase, but my sleeve caught on it and it shattered. D:

I bought
"Meanwhile: Pick Any Path. 3856 Story Possibilities" by Jason Shiga
It's a choose-your-own-adventure graphic novel!
The first time I started through the adventure, I had some vanilla ice cream, and ended up going home. (In hindsight, I think I navigated incorrectly.)
The second time through, I chose chocolate ice cream, destroyed the world, and then stupidly killed myself when I jumped into the time machine to zoom back in time and reverse what I had done, and exited the time machine just as the world got destroyed.
HERE'S A REVIEW
This IS a great idea, and a one-of-a-kind book. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on a copy soon!

It is awesome. The artist was a big fan of the old choose-your-own-adventure books, and decided he wanted to do the same thing but in graphic novel form. So he wrote his own computer algorithm to plot out the various story threads!
And mechanically, the book is ingeniously designed, with these branching pipes you follow to different page tabs (all the pages have these tabs sticking out at different points) to continue with the currently chosen storyline. And there are things like coin flips, which involve you choosing one of two coin faces and then following a pipe through a spaghetti pile so you don't know which way you will come out of it until you trace it all the way with your finger.
And it's pretty good cartoon artwork and some amusing crap happens. I stumbled across a mad scientist who asked me if I wanted to play with a time machine, a memory swapper or a doomsday device. Naturally, I chose the doomsday device. Next time I'm thinking time machine! Ha ha ha!

That's pretty good, but not quite as good as what Ben bought.

Ben, that's an absolutely awesome book and I want it. How'd you find it? In a bookstore, or did a friend show it online, or what?
I'm. . . a bit of a dork. I just blew most of my birthday money on four objects: Pokemon SoulSilver Version (long-time addict), a black lace parasol, a pair of black lace gloves, and a black lace fan. See a pattern?
