well it reminds me of a family friend i have who is dying quite slowly and it sucks cause theres nothing we can do for him but then theres this guy complaining about about life when he has the power to change it and make it better if he could just kick his depression in the ass.

^That sucks. I went through something similar with my mom where the former is concerned.
The latter drive me nuts too.

^ If you can, try to ignore the latter and leave him to his own devices, and just concentrate on making the former as comfortable as possible.

Man, whingeing about life sucking when someone you know is dying is fucked up on many levels. But at the same time, chronic depression is an illness as well. I've been living with it for the last 5 years, and it's an incredibly fucked up thing to feel envy for the dead and dying.
LS I really hope your friend gets better. If you can even suspect that he may be getting better then there's hope.
EDIT: Hey, what's wrong with Canada? It's beautiful up here.

This forum has had FAR too many trolls at this point to take any new member talking about suicide very seriously, especially when they say they're going to give you all thier stuff instead of giving it to thier kids, who they suggest mean a lot to them. It's just ockam's razor, you know?
The man's not even 40. I know a lot of people who would be horrified to hear that they're old in thier 40's. Hell Humane Paine has gotta be getting near sixty now (sorry if that's wrong HP, but I think I remember you saying you were 55-56 around when I joined).
Yeah I'm not much of a winter person either. Too fucking cold man. It's wonderful now though, can't wait to go camping.

No worries, I am 54, and feel very young at heart. I am not old, just a recycled teenager. I wish I had an Avatar (The Last Airbender one, not the alien one) lunch pail to take to work.
I guess I was a little hard on the guy, but it did sound like a trap. But seriously, if you are that hard up for socializing there are many ways to meet people face to face instead of wasting time on a random forum.

OK, picture this;
You're lying there in yr bed, it all seems hopeless. You lie back down, using the mechanical bed thingie. That's when you see it. By jove, there is something up there! What could it be? Is it a dust bunny? Is it Dusty Hill? Is it Hilly Hob Hornton, the grill rapist? If only you had a stick of some sort...........
That's when you remember. YOUR HANDS STILL WORK. So, you reach up and touch the ceiling (You're in a bunk bed or something for whatever reason, I dunno, fuck you), and a book falls out. It's heavy as Hell, and looks real old. You open it, and read "He opened it, and read".
How odd. You continue reading.
"The ElderGoth thought the book to be most peculiar, and read more."
Sweet Jesus, is it true? Have you discovered, after all of your searching, the Neverending Story? Then a tree pops out, Falcor does some shit or other and I'm bored with this now. Lay turs.

No apology needed, really. I reread and reread what I typed and I think I can see the problem, I misplaced the object of the sentence so that the asking verb operated upon he and so you read it as you probably should have and not as my poor grammar intended.
What I should have typed was:
...or did A.D. mean to ask Darkgrok if he could use his hands in response to his request for female companionship to see if Darkgrok could still...uh... Lulz.

when someone speaks about suicide, i try to take them seriously. but my friend is the same way, his kids are jerks. my family has cared for him more then theyve phoned. a lot more. so i can understand the giving stuff away thing.
hell my father is 50, almost 51 and hes still doing stuff he was doing at 20-30 years old.
i was born and raised here and i still dont like it lol. but yes, camping does sound nice, i like to hike not so much swimming though but i have my reasons for that lol.

I can't believe this is on page two.
The O.P. offered to give his house to an unknown internet chicky in return for a little sex and/or other fun, despite the fact that he claimed to have a wife and kids, meaning that in most civilized nations he'd have no right or business offering to give away what is not wholly his own property.
TROLL!
Now lets move on to something important, like the "Twats" thread.
(insert sarc mark here)
