She very well may be sane and competent, but that doesn't mean she actually saw a vampire. People see things sometimes.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much fail is in this paragraph. If knowledge is consistently tested and proven to be useful it is fact. This really isn't up for debate, and you even saying this shows your lack of understanding and ability to differentiate reality from fantasy.

Please, for your own sake, crack a fucking science book.

I never denied that. But go and do it and let's see your logic applied.

Hey, whoa! There is so much in your post that I could flat out attack if I was of a mind to debate you, since that post had so much fail in it. I really don't feel the mood or need to engage you so, but I could not let this stand.

First, it's the Pythagorean Theorem. Spelling Pythagoras' name right is a courtesy to history and his place in it that you should observe.

Second, it's called Pythagoras' Theorem, not theory. In mathematics, a theorem is not the same thing as a theory.

Third, it's been proven hundreds of times.

HERE'S JUST ONE PAGE WITH 84 PROOFS.

It's long been my contention that it should be called Pythagoras' Law or Rule, but those silly mathematicians are stubbornly intent on holding to their ways.

No; it's right to be called a theorem.
But it's a THEOREM. Not a THEORY.
Forget the perfect timing of this guy with the thread I was ranting about people not understanding what a theory is. This guy goes a step further and says the same bullshit that's not acceptable for theory, and uses it against THEOREMS.

Granted, patronizing gets to me easily because I like rational discussions; but as I'm onto it, it doesn't harm me. You just ran out of things to say but are too childish to admit it.
Farewell, you little wannabe troll; we'll see you around the forums posting bullshit and we'll point at you an call you names.

I admited fault for the therom. You still try to nail me on it. You seem have a lot of baseless fury. That's okay. That's why you make me laugh so much. And I don't want to be a troll. Trolls are ugly and mean and nobody likes them. You have a good day Alan

Baseless fury? The fun never ends.

While you did accept criticism for a tiny part of your fail. You continued your fail. In not realizing that scientific theories are rather solid ideas, v.s. say.. an unproven hypothesis.

You see, a scientific theory is different from the way the word is used in the vernacular.

A scientific theory explains scientific observations, and although they may be changed, they are changed due to information that was previously unavailable.

There are plenty of things that we don't know, however that doesn't mean that the things we already do know, and have been repeatably tested and proven should come into question.

Your condescension is uncalled for. Alan's annoyance with you is justified.

I was baseing that off what I have seen of Alan as a whole, not just here.

Is anyone actually going to provide an alternitive to my idea of what happened, or disprove vampires as a whole. Either way can we stop flaming the piss out of me here and get back to the thread. I'll even make a thread in whining but we can we stop ruining this thread with nonsense.

Alan, did you not see that I straightened that out before your post?

Okay here's the real deal. You see some kind of logical flaw in what I wrote. Show it to me. I find it offenceive that this is being taken as so absurd. So I have a huge question here for everyone:

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A VAMPIRE?!

No? Then you can't disprove them. Which means there is valid grounds for my hypothoses. So if you don't have anything smart to say then try to breath water till you do.

...
okay
Ben, she put the car in reverse. I don't go driving off in BFE and suddenly go in reverse while texting.
Wait, I can't disprove them because I haven't seem them? Isn't that a little bass-ackwards?

Furthermore, when all reputable science is saying no, and you're saying yes based on FUCKING NOTHING, you're a ponce, and quite a stupid one.

It is rather easy to disprove the mythical, undead, blood sucking, immortal creature we know as the vampire. There is no real, solid evidence to back up the existence of this creature, on top of the the actual existence of the mythological vampire would violate the laws of nature as we know them.

My alternative hypothesis, is that she may have seen something else or seen something that wasn't really there and THOUGHT it was a vampire...

That's exactly what I thought when I first read the article! The woman just mistook one unknown creature for another!

Also, if I had done that nobody would ever, ever, ever let me live it down. She'll have to move and change her name.

That's good to know. At least now the only people that won't let her live it down will be the people who know her.
