I'm preparing some wood panels for gold(ish) leafing (similar to this guy, but probably with some more colour). Still have to figure out what to paint over the gold leaf, though. It's not real gold, though .

I'm about to get off me arse to go open up the windows for the cool air to rush in while I go batty in the kitchen. I'm going to load up the crockpot with chili for tonight's dinner, and bake a batch of fudge brownies with Halloween decorations on them, and plan to do the dishes as well. All the while I hope to have a wonderful assortment of tunes playing to keep me company. If the bird doesn't decide to insist at screaming her beak off (Umbrella Cockatoo- not a bird for the faint of heart).

It's hot and humid here, and I have no air conditioning.
I baked some oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips. They turned out well . But also overheated the apartment

sitting on the front door step, watching baby bad plot his escape from the front yard, waiting for rain to arrive, trying to recover from chasing the person in front of me at the gym - man those stationary bikes are quick.

Looking up ways to open a coconut. I'm looking at recipes for coconut bacon and dammit, I'm going to make it!
Yes, I know I've said before I always hated bacon. But I love coconut and it sounds delicious.

Well, it's possible that this is too late to help you, but my dad tackled a coconut by first using a drill and drilling a hole in it, then draining out the coconut milk so we could drink it. Then he cut it in two with a hack saw. I'm sure that's probably not the technique a fine chef would use, but it worked for us.

Nah, still haven't gotten the coconut, probably will have to wait til friday. I don't have a drill or a hacksaw, but apparently nails and a hammer will do XD
Right now I'm making polenta with roasted tomatoes.

although I can't sit still...
Also watching NASCAR (don't tell Mr Bat, I'm slacking off for 10 minutes)

Doing some homework. I had to read a history article and am now struggling with the questions. One is "define dual system theory" but the article didn't define it, I have an idea of what it is but thats it.

I hope not over whoever thought you weren't good enough because you don't make tons of money? Fuck em, you don't want to be a sugar daddy, or be with anyone with that attitude.

Writing my book, listening to music, wishing I was driving my car, hoping babybat stays asleep, and trying to decide whether to have a bath or not and doing a few stretchs.
Man I live the multi-tasking life!

I'm at work with nothing to do. I already cleaned everything (I even got down and scrubbed the baseboards), there is no room for more folded towels unless I want to risk having towers of towels falling on me, and there are no guests in the building. I know September is one of our slowest months but I didn't know it would be this bad.

Right now, I am eating some food while for some reason looking at "Pictures of The Big Catch" on weather.com. I think it's because I'm an old grandpa who likes looking at local fishing pictures.
I am also watching my cat chase my other cat. Waffle is in love with Sloan, and tries constantly to woo her. Not working.

Listening to music and browsing the net aimlessly while constantly being interrupted by my friend asking questions about his new handheld. It's hard work being intelligent.

watching cartoons, eating porrige for breakfast and editing my book and watching babybat, who would rather drink out of my sports bottle than his cup - great baby goozie.
and of course procrastinating on g.net.

I'm yawning like mad and trying to get away from my desk and into the kitchen to make some hot chocolate because I was craving coffee at 9pm. Decided having coffee at a time like that wouldn't be the best of ideas and the hot chocolate sounded like a good substitute. It's now 10:30 and I'm in the same spot i was when the craving hit. And there's a krink developing in my neck.
