I know none of you guys have probably ever heard of the band arcade fire. But they are one of my favorite bands and they came out with a really amazing interactive music video that you guys should check out...it incorporates your hometown into it. It was touching. http://thewildernessdowntown.com/

Seriously? They had hits before, they're not at all obscure. People are going nuts on how good their new album is.

I was feeling like I was triggering and then my body just shut itself down for three hours - and now I'm okay - realised I was dwelling on crap from the past.
Maybe a good thing I didn't go all the way - last time I did, well we won't talk about it here....

I am so glad that worked out. It's amazing how good they are for how easy they are to make, eh?
I use flax meal because in that recipe it has 5 grams of carbs and 5 grams of fiber, and in Atkins fiber offsets carbs, so it counts as ZERO net carbs toward your daily allowance! Plus it's a great source of fiber, protein and short-chain omega-3 fatty acids. So they've become a pretty regular (pun intended) breakfast for me.
But I'm sure you could substitute a variety of different kinds of meal. Almond meal sounds delicious!

OK, so Mrs. Humane is tired of looking at the half dozen boxes of books littering the library, and the 10 more boxes of same in the garage. Time to go buy more bookshelves. There is room for maybe two more.
I am running out of wall space in the library.

My dad tackled organizing my mom's book collection recently. He was using the 5 shelf units you can buy at Walmart, but found that the spacing of the shelves didn't really suit paperback books. So he bought some lumber and pegs and made additional shelves ... I can't remember if he ended up making them 7 or 8 shelf units. So you might try doing that, seeing as how you have that wonderfully equipped workshop!
It still took something like 32 units, and each shelf holds a double row, but at least now she can find a book if she's looking for it ... eventually.

My books are in book boxes in the shed. I go out every now and then and remind them that I still exist and that one day when we don't live in a shoebox, they will have space on a bookshelf again.
I love books. I should have been either a librarian or a bookstore owner (one of those musty bookstores that has all of those treasured books in them).
I feel like I'm trying to ride a pushbike, up a very steep hill backwards with my eyes closed and two flat tyres. I'm going nowhere fast.

It amuses me to no end to learn that a player was able to use a character in Everquest for over a year before being banned because a GM had finally figured out that the character name "Cupid Stunt" might be sexually offensive to some players.
LMAO!!!

I've been fighting with my characters in my book to get them together, but they decided they won't, maybe I'm just being pessimistic..
I'll re-edit my first book and look at my second book (which I condensed two books into one because I hate the dribbly way YA books are written) maybe I can get them together.
FARK! I hate yo yo gabba

I spent my morning today reading their posts from Day One to when they finished, its about a couple who decided to try an experiment, and eat only on a dollar a day each. For the first bit it seemed like they really had no idea what to make and just made the same bland things over and over, and then they discovered salad, and they got more variety in at the end.
Not going to attempt it myself but it certainly gotten me to think of how much I'm consuming, I think next time I go grocery shopping and can take note of the cost of the things I'm buying (I have no idea how much I spent on half the stuff in my cupboard), I'll start keeping track of how much each meal I eat costs, and see how low I can go and maintain a healthy diet. It'll be interesting!

I had to drive to Livingston and back today, which took much longer than it should have due to many spells of heavy rain that dropped the traveling speed to 35 MPH.
Oh, Hermine, how can your reach extend hundreds of miles?
Google has a logo you cannot click on today.
And, my dog is officially a wuss.
That is all.

Some firefighters on the front-lines fighting those wildfires in Colorado lost their own homes while they battled the flames.
I don't know that I could match their commitment. To me, that is the definition of a hero.

My bruise on my leg has come out, and it's pathetic. It's official I'm divorcing my butt!
I know I've been watching too much children's television in the last 18mths. I get excited when Jay Laga'aia is on playschool.. I saw him at a playschool concert and all the kids went ballistic when he was introduced (kinda felt sorry for the other female performer). Mind you Jay has 7 kids of his own so he knows how to engage children (guess I'm just a big kid).
No gym yet today.. might try and seek out to do my weight session tonight, only did an hour's exercise and I'm feeling faaaaaattttt.

My first day of school went great! I'm taking a Canadian History class and my prof is going to focus on inequality in Canada, conveniently starting with gender (SWEET), German's a little intimidating, my prof is my age and there's going to be oral exams, I can see myself getting really shy really quick with this, and Religious Studies this term is focusing on China and Japan and she's going to teach us some Chinese, which is also a little intimidating but she says its nothing seriously, just to give a taste to how the actual Chinese course I'll have to take next year is going to be like.
She also let us know that China is going to be the next super power and we're going to have to learn it anyway, learn it now and it'll be a bit of an advantage in ten years.

Dostoevsky is awesome! The Brothers Karamazov is also really amazing, if you haven't read it yet.
