What did you achieve today?
Every GNetter is fond of threads like this.
We have a thread about what made your day better, what made your day worse, a thread for pictures, a thread about what you learned and various others.
This one is no different.
What did you achieve today?
I'll start.
I made a pretty good logo in less than 15 minutes. It's the fastest I have ever made a logo.

I managed to cook tea with babybat standing on a chair next to me. he fell off once and I picked him up, gave him a mum cuddle (which solves all the world's problems) and then put him back on the chair and we made an even bigger mess.
Every two minutes he turned on the hotplates, poured water all over the floor, threw rice in the sink, turned the honey squeeze tube upside down (actually sucked the end of it at one stage).
I really needed to be an octopus and not a bat.
I can't tell him off because he's cooking, learning to cook/create etc it's just so darn tiring. I wish he had an off switch.
Also on the otherside I had a cat, which was trying to jump up on the kitchen bench, because she was starving (despite having biscuits in her bowl) so I was very quickly going insane.
It was a case of "No.... No babybat I'm not saying no to you I'm saying no to the cat.. yes make a mess... No cat I'm not saying yes to you, I'm saying yes to babybat" and repeat!
So the kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it - but we had fun.
Loved every minute of it... oops forgot to be a bat.. aw crap!

I managed to get up at 5:30 despite not being able to fall asleep before 3ish.
With my need for sleep, that is an achievement in it's own right.

managed to crash maya2010 6 times within 20mins.
I have the touch of destruction that causes 3d programs to crash but damn, this many times in a short duration is rare...

I managed to get Silent Night into my fingers somewhat flawlessly in under 10 minutes.
(Speaking of guitar playing here)

Today, I took a solid shit, which I then admired for some four minutes with the air of a proud parent.

Rating please.
Not today but yesterday I starting shooting a documentary on poverty in an unexpected area (Palm Beach county, for those of you near the oil-tained waters). A dangerous process as my crew and I are taking various precautions to maintain our humility and safety.
It's an excercise in my rationality and gratitude as I've always fantasized about running away (still do) and for the first day of shooting we needless to say got what we asked for and more.
Wake up, ya'all.

I got out of bed and took a shower (at about 2:30 pm - I had been reading from about 9:30 until then).
I've been feeling lethargic enough that anything feels about as miserable as it can without it being painful or seriously debilitating. I can do things, it's just holding up a book while reading in bed or keeping my arms up long enough to braid my hair... or walking to the bus, which now takes me over 15 minutes when it used to take 12...

I took a few nice landscape photos of the neighborhood playground scenery, plus some good portraits of my littlebat girl. She's getting really good on her bike! Might get to take those training wheels off, finally.

Finished the first series of my serial screenplay. It's actually not bad - if I still like it in a week or so, I'll probably go back to poetry for a while.

Yesterday I managed to achieve a miracle, I managed to have a conversation with my brother without him mentioning anything from that damned game! That's the reason I'm posting this now, I didn't want to waste an opportunity like that.

By "that damned game" I don't suppose you mean THE game?

Damn, now I'm playing it! No, the game I'm talking about very quickly became the bane of my existence: World of Warcraft. Words fail to describe just how much I detest it. Generally if I want to talk to my brother (some of my friends are no better), I have to put up with random changes in the conversation that include made up names and arbitrary stat buffs.

What do you mean, suddenly the conversation recieves Arcane Intellect to buff it's mana pool to the point where enough mana is available to cast [Interest]?

Tonights d&d session was great.
We wrapped it up early (2am) this time because of us trying not to wake up the whole house. I managed to piss all my pcs off, which is a great stride for me (DM) and I managed to get a lot of stuff at goodwill to DIY my wardrobe.
One other plus is my older sister who has no time BUT money offered to pay me to make her a costume. I took the deal.
Better find a Swiss bank account to put all that money in
