Shill Post your website announcements here. Anything that is blatantly SPAM (nigerian schemes, make money fast, etc) will be deleted. Actually, we'd probably keep the nigerian schemes around to make fun of it. |

Artists Wanted for Comic Anthology: Theatre of Tragedy
Gothology Comics, an uncanny and eerie series of Gothic/Horror themed comic anthologies, has recently announced the third book of the series, Theatre of Tragedy, and is looking for artists/writers to contribute to the book.
http://books.dapshow.com/gothology/w...eoftragedy.jpg
Theatre of Tragedy will be between 250-300 pages, feature comics from up-and-coming artists around the world and cover art from Sheldon Vella (Supertron, Kill Audio). Its release will be in the Q3 2011. This volume will continue Gothology's commitment to indie comic excellence that was set by the first two volumes of Gothology, The Eternal Sad and Misery Loves Company -- which had a combined 59 comics from 65+ contributors from all corners of the Earth.
Gothology is looking for artists to explore their inner melancholy, and submit to us comics of misery and despair. These comics can be anything relating to Gothic culture. If it's dark, gruesome, depressing, frightening, or all of the above -- it's fitting for this collection, and we would love nothing more than to feature it in the third book of wretchedness, Theatre of Tragedy. For more information, check http://atragedyawaitsus.com for updates, requirements, etc.
Lay it to thy heart, and farewell.

I'd dig doing a gothy kind of comic. But I'm really just a colorist.

Are you looking for just a penciler, or are you looking to have someone bring you the completed work, story, pencil, ink, and colored?

Just a heads up, since both replies mentioned it, the book is b/w and grayscale.

We do use color illustrations for the interior covers, if you are more comfortable with that.

We need finished works, though people can team up and delegate responsibilities. We can't offer much help with that, but I think I will make a post about it on our site.

I'm actually looking for a colorist, not for this project, but rather some panels I am working through right now. Nothing major at this point and more cartoon than anything else, but if you hadn't anything better to do and liked the work, we could use a colorist. They aren't even inked.
I'm doing some test runs with a writer I know and this is kinda a first to just try it out. After that we are going to start getting into horror.

I dunno if the link will work, but there's a small portfolio of my coloring skills. If you look, you can see where I progressively approach a more watercolored look than anything and stepped back from cuts so much.
Send me one of your sketches in inked/non inked format. I'd love to give it a go. I haven't done something in a couple of months now.

Sagat, Akuma, and Rikimaru are my favorite pieces. The wolf is alright and the Joker one is when I decided to start taking CGing seriously. But yeah, it's a fun hobby.

I will definitely be creating something to submit.
Love the countdown on the page, by the way.
