| Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Creedence Clearwater Revival, anyone?
??????????????????
Self-described swamp rock. I've decided that Green River is one of my all-time favourite albums.

Not familar with their catalog... but I do know "Bad Moon Risin" off of the "Green River" album. My favorite song of theirs would have to be "Run thru the Jungle'

I think those two songs give you pretty much a perfect idea of their sound and whether you might like them. It's very simple music and I find that I can overkill on them very easily, but I always, always end up going back to them.

Yuck. I suppose it is good. Classic Rock is just whatever. I like some it. Bad Moon Risen isn't bad. I don't know. Not too into it.

I'm a Willie & the Poor Boys guy myself, but yeah, Green River's a great album. Plus Lodi is one of the few songs I can sing along to on acoustic without sounding like some American Idol deludinoid.

Being some kind of self-proclaimed "rock encyclopedist", I realize - with sudden terror - I have never listened to anything by Creedence. Or maybe I did and wasn't aware. Anyway. I guess I should have a try, I recntly wasted two hours of my time listening to Sweet Smoke, so why not CCR after all ?

I'm not too jazzed about them. Though their music is pretty iconic, it just doesn't resonate with me. It's likely due to the fact that I don't listen to them enough.
I wasn't even that moved by The Meteors' faithful cover of "Bad Moon Rising".

I think Cuckoo's right about the simplicity. I like their shit a lot, but I can understand why some of my buddies just find them... meh.
