This doesn't concern you. I guess you're just naturally belligerent.

I like SCC a lot, so I'd like to think it does concern me. You know. Because this is a public forum and all.
But it's not that. It's that you don't know him, but you're completely comfortable with being a twat without even checking that you understand what he said. He was making fun of himself, but I guess you're just naturally ignorant.

It's a bit too early on my sunday morning for me to get all "fighty" in here. I'm just gonna eat my breakfast then, and leave you to shout swear words at your own reflection.

It's cool, dude. I'd probably feel a twinge of shame and stick my nose up like a child, too. Let me know when you want to be accountable for the things you say like an adult.

This is the end of this "bout", except I wasn't fighting. If you take my refusal to fight as an indication of shame, and immaturity then I'm afraid there's no hope for you, so I'll wish you good day.

I'm not instigating for you to fight with me. I'm prompting you to stand by what you say with the conviction that you say it as an ultimatum to saying nothing at all.
I don't see your refusal to speak for yourself as an indication of shame and immaturity because it's not. It's a display of it

I understand where you are coming from. I got that a lot too. A lot of the anime I like was put an the air a long time ago and did not rerun much. I see people who like anime, but they only like what is the newest or the most popular. I have found myself going like, "Yes, Naruto is cool, but what about Android 009 or Knights of the Zodiac?" Those are old anime. I usually get some blank stares. I remember when it got really popular to read manga. I was just kind of stuck thinking, "I started doing that ten years ago, now it is popular?" A lot of stuff I did ten years ago has become popular over the last few years.
Anyway...
I understand. I have been there, but that does not mean that just because I have seen Bleach Halloween costumes at Wall-Mart, it is a bad anime/manga. It is just popular. Just like how just because a person is popular it does not make them a bad person.

No i understand that. I just temporarily forgot it. I remember that i shouldn't dislike something just because it is popular, especially, if those whom like it are their first anime. I turned into an elite fanclub type thing, which i must remember not to do. My opinions shouldn't be based on the opposite of mainstream interest. It is why I defend Linkin Park with most people, and i became hypocritical to the interests of another subject. *Sigh* I won't make such a mistake again.

Linkin Park is awesome. It is worth defending.

One thing that does bug me about anime elitism is that it treats anime as one genre. Its a type of animation, with several genres. I definitely don't like all of them, so I don't really care if I don't know some shitty obscure mecha anime or harem anime.

Aww harem is awesome but, yeah, it should have the same standards of movies, books, etc.

I know of a lot of a anime and manga, but I am sorry to say Robotech is not one of them. Which is saying something, becouse I have read/watched over 200 different manga/anime. I know I have a list of most of them.
They should be put into different genres. They actually are, but most people see them with an umbrella effect.
It makes things harder to understand for people that do not pay that much attention to it, or actually buy the thing. Most anime and manga have their genre clearly printed on the back.

they're not very much like Black Butler, but, Hell Girl, Death Note, and XXXHOLiC are pretty good.
