Are they doing any exercise classes at your nearest gym? Something low- medium impact might be good if you find things painful?
I go to the Gym in my town's leisure centre, the membership is just under £30 a month, and all the exercise classes except pilates are included in that price, plus all swimming. So it's VASTLY cheaper than a private gym, and you simply have to give one months notice before you cancel the membership. No 12 month contracts and all that crap.
I use the gym around 4 times a week, and go to 2 classes a week, Legs bums and tums aerobics on a Monday, and Bodyattack on a Saturday (much more intense with more moves and changes) Plus I often go for a 45 min swim after my Sunday gym session.
If I'm shelling out 30 quid a month I want my bloody money's worth!!

Oh, I forgot, I do go swimming when my arms not too stiff, it's one of the exercises that is highly recommended by my physiotherapist. Not that I like getting into my swimming costume but I can deal with it, I've seen way worse sights than me in a cossie!

Oh yeah. I try to avoid it when it's really busy. There's NO amount of half naked old lady flesh that I want to see, EVER.

Why do you hate it?
Oh speaking of working out... there's this uber creepy dude at the gym who walked up to me on Monday and asked "whats your name?" but in the coldest manner EVER. I was like uhh....connie?
Then when I went today...he was leaving as I was entering, and he was like " hello connie" without looking at me.
I think I need to find another gym.
*he's not hot.......at all*

I love working out. I always feel energized and less stressed out. It's also really nice to be sweaty once in a while.

I REALLY don't like working out. I can think of so many things I'd rather be doing, but I seriously hate my body, so that's enough to make myself go and do it.
To be fair I don't mind the classes, there's a good atmosphere so I feel ok when I'm in there. I don't like the gym but I can tolerate it. The Cardio machines all have TV's on them so I can distract myself.

Down six pounds. It actually makes me nervous the weight's coming off so quickly. I attribute this to bloating and water weight due to excessive chip and soda consumption.

Initial weight loss when you first start a diet usually is water. Fat is harder to lose bcause the body likes hanging on to in case of a famine. And for those who simply diet and don't exercise or use weights, much of the weight loss after the excess water has gone, is lean body tissue ( muscle shrinkage ).
That's why it's often reccomended to do not only cardio exercise, but some weights too, otherwise you end up being what's known as "skinny fat". When you get like that, you may have lost weight and fat, but if no weights or strength training has been done, despite being physically smaller and wearing a smaller size in clothes, you will end up looking flabby because there is little muscle tone.

It's been one week since I started calorie counting, and I'm 8 lbs down. That's a shitload of....water weight?????
I know the scale ain't wrong because I bought a brand new digital one just for this purpose and tested it with various things.

Do you weigh yourself at the same time every day? Did I ask this before?

I weigh myself in the mornings right after I pee, 'cause I heard that's what you're supposed to do.
Maybe I was just SUPER bloated from soda and being on the rag. Weird.

That could be it, my weight fluctuates 8-10 pounds a month and being on the rag is when I weigh the most.

I feel the same way about my body. It's not low self-esteem; it's holding myself to the same standards I hold others to. Call me shallow, but... fat chicks. I don't do those. So I'd be a hypocrite if I sat around munching all day.
I'm finding out that a lot of my old buddies hit the gym almost every day. I thought it'd be impossible to find other females to work out with. It's amazing. Self-improvement really boosts your confidence. When you're confident to begin with, it's like being on cloud fucking nine.

I like fat chicks. I also like skinny chicks and chicks in the middle. You can be perfect regardless of what you weigh.
I think your attitude is shite.
