It's called genetic attraction and the theory is that we are attracted to people with similar genetic traits and well who would have more similar genetic traits than our own families. Apparently it can be quite a strong force but being raised together seems to cancel it out. Oh and it isn't just siblings raised apart, it happens with parents and children too, I wonder if that would make people think twice about trying to find their birth parent.
Yay for the totally creepy, non-fun parts of human sexuality.

I thought it was the other way around.
I thought I remembered reading something about hormones and how people aren't usually attracted to their siblinds/family members because there's something in their hormoney-pheremoney stuff that's similar to yours and it's a turn-off somewhere in your brain?
Does that make sense or...?

No, its that the people you grow up with, you're generally not attracted to (in most cases). I remember reading about lion cubs raised together but from different parents wouldn't mate when they get older, and children forced into marriage at a young age have less children when they grow up than people who marry as adults, theory is that its just that creepy for them to sleep with someone they were raised with.
Or alternatively that can be another theory you're talking about, its hard to say since we can't exactly experiment on humans like that, and its very rare that long lost siblings marry each other.

There was a German brother/sister couple (I believe the girl was adopted and later searched for her biological family) who had a very long court battle trying to overturn the countries anti-incest law so that they could marry but the law was upheld throughout all of their appeals.
BBC America aired a special called "Brothers and Sisters in Love" about the topic that was rather interesting.
Oh and PJ I think you are talking about the Westermarck effect, which in essences desensitizes you to sexual attraction to people you spend long amounts of time in close proximity during the early stages of your life.

How did a thread about yaoi become a thread about incest? Unless its these guys:
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW.
