His solo stuff always gives me a twinge of sorrow.
Although I often wonder what he encountered during his daily trip, maybe it was worth insanity. :x

Blindspott - Phlex
A New Zealand nu-metal-ish band (i don't stick to one genre).
My Kiwi friend showed me these guys. There's a few songs i really dig. This song reminds me of a few friends i've lost over the years.
Especially like the line: Not one day that you are here has been promised to you so make the most of everyday as if it was your last...and every breath as if it were the same.

Bone Black's self titled album. Epic crust from Montréal, Canada
Lush with ideals
a shroud of freedom decorated with liberty
to distract us from the rotten corpse of tradition.
Blinded by priceless beauty,
humanity's most precious gifts are monuments to those with bloody hands,
they drape thier dead and dying with lies.
"Castrum Doloris - Bone Black"

Leroy Powell and the Messengers
I Ain't Human
Grave Digger Blues
I don't think the vids do them justice. They were the opening act for the concert I went to last night, and I really liked their set.

Get Back ~ Ludacris
This song makes me laugh. One of my friends made this my ringtone on their phone after I told them about having to push grabby, rude people away on the dance floor at Numbers in Houston. Fucker.

That just ain't right.
[p.s. - Wolfie, have you been to Wonderbar? I just had a customer tell me about it and while I have no idea what the music or cultural scene is like there, it sounds like it's all steam-punk or techy-like in there. After really enjoying The Safe House in Milwaukee, I am really ready to find a cool themed bar in Houston, and this sounds like one of a couple possible choices.]

Back in 2005 or 2006(IIRC) there was a club called Havok opening in Houston. Kinda like Numbers, but it was supposed to be more Goth-themed instead of the once a month 'Underworld' night or the 'Classic(80s)' night to which most of us went at Numbers. I really, really, really wanted to go, but you know how my husband is...nah, why should I get to have fun? It's not a necessity, right? I haven't actually been out in over 5 years and it sucks balls. Not that I was ever a little club queen, but I liked going out and dancing once a month or so. I haven't heard of Wonderbar. Give it a try, you might like it Ben.
Now that I've got that sand out of my vagina...I actually like that song, now. It's become an inside joke with he and I.
Wumpscut ~ Wreath of Barbs

Celtic Frost `Rex Irae`
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFBfMv0qEWA
This brilliant song was so far ahead of its time in 1986, a classic example of Celtic Frosts brand of iconic avante garde metal at the time !!!.

Queen
It sounds a bit different live than it does from the studio version, but still exquisite.
You Take My Breath Away
...every time you make a move you destroy my mind...
