I wasn't trying to piss Ducky off, and I wasn't being flippant.

Ducky and I were discussing the whole "Princess" thing. In general, girls are brought up with stories like Cinderella, Snow white - so the girls sit around waiting for Prince Charming and the guys have a shit load of false expectations put on them by girls who expect them to be swept off their feet by guys.

The thing I posted was how girls see things differently to guys.

I remember seeing some email thing where the girl is sitting in a car, wondering why the guy is quiet. Her mind is going on about how he's not into her, and all he's thinking about is the big football game on the weekend.

So that's what I was getting at. Ducky has helped me in the past, when I've been working through things, so I can get on track.

I mean how many YA books out there have unrealistic male characters in them? Heaps of them.

I know the main audience is teenage girls, but that doesn't mean that the guys in the books need to be written as these guys who are distant.
