katnip, the thread is addressed to a specific person ... the title of the thread makes that clear. That is done all the time in this forum ... ALL THE TIME.
Not everyone can get or send PM's (you can't, for instance) until they have a certain number of posts under their belt. But more importantly, there are normal day-to-day parameters of operation around here that you can't possibly be aware of yet.
You're new here, so you get a pass on not knowing this, but you don't get to call anyone here a dumbass with 8 posts under your belt. Wise up.
