My body is so sore I can barely move and I don't know why.
I'm stuck at work for the next six hours, and then I have to go help my dad paint his house.
All I want to do is sleep so I can't feel the pain.

I'm sick of:
-squeaking by every month (if I'm lucky)
-very slowly slipping further into debt
-hating everyone and not having any control over it
-not having any patience for anything
-my house being in such total disrepair
-always feeling exhausted no matter what
-having no friends and not doing anything except working and watching tv
-being too slow and stupid to hold any job except the shitty one I've had for the past 2 years
-slowly gaining weight
-feeling miserable all the time for no reason
-always finding a way to piss off SOMEONE no matter what choice I make
-having absolutely no clue how to make friends

But the biggest thing that bothers me is that I never had the chance to go out and have fun and LIVE when I was a teen, and now that I have the independence to do so everyone's telling me it's time for me to grow up and be responsible. I missed my chance to live and I'm not even 22 yet.

What a waste. PS I'm on the rag so if this post seems angsty then that's what I'll blame it on.

I know the feeling. I feel like I've been wasting my youth, sometimes.

As a 19 year old who had no friends throughout all of High School and has yet to have his first kiss, let alone enter a first romantic relationship. The fear of having wasted ones youth is something I can associate with entirely, all too well. What social freedoms I've just recently acquired, myself being pressured to relinquish for maturity's sake additionally. But so long as there are people in similar situations, hopefully we might succeed in co-optively pulling ourselves out of this conundrum instead.

I keep thinking about how two of my frends are joining the military.
I'm terrifed they'll die, and if they don't I'm terrified they'll come back different people.
I'm just scared for them.
We're having a big party for them before they go off, and I know I'll probably get really trashed and tell them what I think of them going away like that.
I'm sure I'll make a total fool of myself.
Good thing I have a few months before all this I guess...

What makes you think your reaction will be foolish?

I feel the same way and don't even know them...

I know I'll get all emotional and cry, and probably try to talk them out of it.
I know it's what they want though.
But I feel the second they have to actually go into it they'll feel it was a mistake.
I'm scared that one of them might not come back home to all of their friends and family.
And I don't have many friends, let alone people I even like talking to.
I'm close to the several people I hang out with, and we're pretty tight knit,
I don't know what would happen if we lost someone...

Every choice here is messy.

To be their real friend that you are, I guess you will have to just be... honest... no, sorry, I guess I don't have any advice. Sorry.

I guess I don't much care about telling them how I feel about it.
I've been a fool while drunk before, and this should be no different. Ha
I just don't want them to get mad at me before they leave and have something happen.

I love honesty, however harsh it may be.
So yes, even if you're an asshole about it.

The military is comprised mostly of people that are given far too much recognition. 1/32 airmen, 1/16 seamen, and 4/10 marines/soldiers even have a job related to combat. A far smaller number actually experience it. Common perception is that everybody in the military is some kind of hard ass that blows stuff up for a living and is severely emotionally scared from the experience. Nothing could be further from the truth. I don't know what, exactly, perpetuates it, but it's a load of horse shit for the guy who pumps gas or the girl who plays the trumpet to be approached by people at the airport that want to thank them for their "service."

I would ask them what their job will be, and unless medic, infantry, armor, cavalry, or artillery is in the title, put your worries to sleep and be skeptical of anything they tell you about their experience.

One of them said something about jumping out of planes with guns, the other is doing something with computers like his dad did.
I'm more concerned about the first, not only because the job seems dangereous, but because he's extremely reckless...

That does make me feel better though.

More likely, he won't and is blowing smoke up your ass. The mainstream military hasn't conducted a combat jump since 2003.

Figures.
Still, whatever he does, if he's got a gun, I'll be worried.
Kid's got a deathwish, I swear.
He's reckless as fuck.
He's either going to think it's like paintball and get himself shot, or decide he can't handle it and shoot himself.

I had to shoo some geese off of the putt-putt course today, usually I don't really care much about it one way or the other but they had a gaggle of the cutest little goslings that looked really sad and scared so I feel like an asshole.

The tears are back. It hit me all at once, and all I did was hear Blind Faith:

PJ - go and do it while you are 22, because you'll never be 22 again!

Oh and screw being responsible - you get 18 years to be a kid and then you are supposed to be responsible for the next 70? the numbers are all wrong - go out and have fun - if anyone asks - blame the bat!

I'm tired - worn out kinda tired. haven't had more than 7 hours sleep in a night for 3 years - and I used to be a 12 hour a night girl or just don't wake me unless you have a heavy artilliary backup.

I haven't been to the gym maybe I'll just go get caffienated.

Versus- That last video was fucking awesome! I seriously ROFL'd!

Solumina- Better you shoo them off, then have the baby goose get a ball to the head and croak. You did good, girl.

HP- Very good song indeed. I thought some other band did a cover of it, am I correct? Didn't recognise the band name but the song I know I've heard before.

Fruitbat- Well, in that case, they can blame this Kitty as well. With all the medical advancements these days, the 30's are the new 20's! So I completely echo your shunning of responsibilities too early.

Growing up too quickly is bad for the soul. Take things on your own time.

I really have nothing to rant about at the moment. The Jager is kicking in and I'm feeling really happy and warm inside. But not just from the Jager =)

At least you have something to drink then, while I'm stuck here with just water and a sore throat. While to contribute to the rant- end of semester cramming is a highly displeasing predicament.
