MissC - your boots sound great.
now I'm going to have to go off and find my boots and give them a polish
Wore my boots the other day, the ones that Mr Bat thought looked great about 3 months ago... he called me a biker chick.
Guess now I get to buy me a motorcycle to go with my boots
Hmmm.. and Indian or a Harley.... might be a better idea if I learn to ride a motorcycle first... have to think of a game plan around that potential block.

I'm not a great judge of how long the odor lingers. I just redyed my roots yesterday and my hair doesn't smell. The Wella is a 1:2 mix so if you use that you will use twice as much developer(volume 10 for dark colors). A tube will probably last you a good while.

How long does the dye itself hold? A brown-based actually sounds excellent - I'm one of those people that prefers to look like my hair is naturally black. I noticed it's listed as a demi-permanent.

I think they have it listed wrong because my box said permanent. It's even listed under the permanent section. Maybe the person writing the description wasn't paying enough attention?
If you go into a Sally's it will be in the section with the other permanent colors.

Went out and got really drunk last night. Nice. On the plus side, my new boots arrived. On the negative side, the boots are really skinny and because I have HUGE leg muscles, I can't lace them up all the way. Never mind.

One of my pairs of New Rocks is like that. I had to lose weight just to get them to zip comfortably when I first got them a couple years ago. There's not a store nearby that you can run to and try them on so I didn't know beforehand.
They should make boots with options like sending calf measurements for better fitting so that you don't spend a ton of money on boots you can't wear.

They should make boots with calf measurements but sadly, losing weight won't solve my problem as it's muscle not fat on my legs. Even at my slimmest, I still have massive, muscly legs that just don't slim down. I don't mind with the boots so much, I never lace boots all the way up anyway so it's not a bother

Mine was definitely due to fat, wish it could've been because of muscle instead.

I wish I knew a way to slim my legs down tbh. My calf muscles are fucking huge considering how small I am height wise and stuff. Unlucky for me that I got my dads super muscly build, instead of my mums more delicate one.

I have the opposite problem. There is a spot on my legs where my calves are creased from wearing boots everyday. It's kind of annoying.

There is an english company who make boots with calf/feet measurements and there is an australian company who make boots if you send them measurements (more interesting boots than the UK firm), and I'm guessing there would be ones in the US too... but then they cost a bit.
I have wide feet, skinny ankles and calves that tend towards the big side, so boots sag around my ankles. maybe if I can drop a few more dress sizes, I'll be happy with my legs.
So when I wear big boots, they look massive, like when I wear white shoes, I get called minny-mouse

Do we have a fitness thread? If not I'd like to start one where we can all encourage each other(yes, even the people already in shape) and share tips, goals, advice and happies for the day regarding our fitness regimens.

I don't recall that we had one, but we did use certain threads like the "I Hate Fat Rolls" thread in whining as a means to give advice for a while, but it would be nice to see one in General that is more body positive.

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking less "WAAAAHHHH! I'm not happy with my body! Halp meh!" and more general fitness talk and motivational stuff, food/exercise tips or the latest scientific discoveries about how to exercise better(if there are any). I can't think of a witty title right now, though. I don't want it to be about body image issues(we have an old thread for that if people care to look) or anything. No negativity!

Exactly!
Okay, I'll start it in the morning. My brain is pretty much kaput for the night and I don't want to end up sounding disorganized and incoherent.

Sounds like a great idea. I read recently that if you do weights before you do cardio, then you burn more calories, and of course the harder you work, the more calories you burn...

Gothercize sounds good!
Maybe we can keep it useful for those of us who don't have weight loss as our primary goal, as well. I'm a great weight, just have a pile of flab on the upper body.

Happy Independence Day!
Wooo! I'm happy Mom is going home soon. Wow, the first week was almost thinking she isn't too bad. Now, she made me happy I don't live at home anymore.

It gets really cold at nightime, which is a bit of a mind fuck.
