Fuck..I'm nervous already...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I enjoy reading, drawing, writing, watching movies, playing in the rain, hiking, camping, swimming, and making a complete ass of myself in public places.

2. Where are you from?
Bred in Ephrata, Pennsylvania....currently residing in Kaufman, Texas.

3. Who is your favorite author?
I don't have one (gasp!). I love reading, I love words, so it's hard for me to pick a favorite. I have a least favorite...Stephanie Meyer...her limbs need to be severed and scattered across the world for making a fortune off of vampires that fucking sparkle.

4. What are your favorite films?
Legend, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Crow, Edward Scissorhands, Cry Baby, Repo The Genetic Opera, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Drop Dead Fred, Howls Moving Castle, Boondock Saints. If I keep at this I'll be here all night, you get the gist.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Cemetery Gates - Pantera.

6. At your funeral?
Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
In my sleep...I don't think I could handle having time to think about all my loved one's before dying.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
None. When I think of being buried..all I can picture is my rotting corpse being devoured by maggots. Can't do it. Burn me and scatter me to the wind.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Ripped up Jeans, black combat boots, and a t-shirt or tank....if it's cold...a hoodie...with thumb holes, as well. I'm low maintenance.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
The innocence that comes with not knowing the suffering of this world.

11. What's your favorite band?
One? Really...I honestly cannot pick just one! I'll make it as short as I can... Moonspell, Type O, Kidney Thieves, Bile, Sneaker Pimps, Sepultura, Coal Chamber, Pantera, Danzig, Black Label Society, Ozzy, Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, Def Leppard, Killswitch Engage.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm planning on going to college within the next year or two. I can't really decide what I want to be when I grow up. I'm pretty sure my major will end up being either psychology (child psychology to be specific) or graphic/web design.

13. Why did you join?
I'm deeply in need of interesting conversation.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.

I'd tell you to go to child psychology. Too many people are going into graphic design, and if psychology really interests you, then you will have a better, more secure job with less competition.

That is sound advice, thank you Alan. I'm just always torn between my basic nature of helping people and my need to do something creative. Working with kids would give me the ability to be creative though, I suppose.

Interesting music choices. I'd agree with Alan; you can definitely be creatively rewarded in working with kids, it will fill that desire to help people, and there's nothing wrong with getting paid well to do some good in the world.

Welcome to this place. I look forward to your contributions.

Psychology is a fascinating field of study.

Just as a fair warning about child psych, you will need a masters at the very least to work in the field (and even so choices are going to be limited unless you have a PhD or equivalent) and finding a good child psych grad program can be a bit of a challenge. I'm not saying this to deter you, it is a field that can be incredibly rewarding and that badly needs people, but you should know what you are in for before you sink a lot of time, money, and effort into being a psych major.
