Man, I ain't worried. I dig how I look with/without makeup, dressed up/down, even with my bones sticking out (which isn't something I do purposefully). haha
It's not everyone's taste, and I know that.
Good thing I've already got a boyfriend though.
To most people I look like shit. lulz.

It wasn't till she came along did beauty get defined by how thin you Are. Traditionally is was a well fed look sought after cause it was a sign of fertility . Uh, no. Twiggy isn't responsible for everyone thinking she was pretty, and she came about in the 1960s. Marilyn Monroe and company weren't terribly thin but they weren't plus size like everyone says they were either.
In the eighties, backlash was everywhere and in fashion, even though things like pantsuits were in demand, the return of femininity against the radical butch feminists of the 70s brought about fashion designers demanding the return to almost Victorian ideals. Corsets came back for example, and Dior said the ideal waist for a woman was 22 inches. Fashion became more infantile and feminine, and it wasn't really the average consumer's choice. Pantsuits were still high in demand but no one sold them, and everyone thought Joe Boxer, I think it was, was insane for starting to make women's underwear that were plain because "women won't wear anything that isn't lace." Susan Faludi's Backlash has a huge chapter about this, actually.

Most people are small-minded bigots or hypocrites. It's perfectly okay for a 'normal' looking woman to wear tons of makeup and be thought of as pretty in society, but if someone who is a Goth or wears Drag does it~ ZOMG!!!SPECTACLEZZZLOL!!!! It's extremely douchey.
Are ugly people invited to this orgy? Your boyfriends don't have to be jealous just because I have a bigger dick and better oral skills than they do.

It pisses me off when ppl complain about girls wearing makeup. Ugly girls wear it, pretty girls wear it. The end.

How old should they be before girls start wearing makeup? Enough to reach the counter with their mom's card?

My parents had restrictions on makeup and piercings. The piercing thing was of no issue to me since I don't want any piercing of any kind, even ear piercings, which is standard with most women.
I forget the age, yet I think I was supposed to wait until sixteen. However, it didn't last. I wore her makeup. Eventually, I wore it on my own and they never did anything about it. So roughly around eleven or twelve.

I understand there's an inherent NEED for humans to be creative, but it seems like such a... high priority for wrong reasons.

I don't see why we should have to. I am sure that a person of such particular standards will have many, many ladies that he cannot bear to be around. Why don't we just flip a coin for it? Heads I win, tails you lose? Then you will of course get the next person who is so sinful as to weigh over 150lbs.

Yeah, people here tend to have a pretty good sense of humour about the whole goth thing. It's one of the things I like about this place. Most people don't take that shit too seriously - half the time, people join in with the trolls if they're actually funny.

Cool guy makes smrt jke
What sucks about Goth and women is that most of them use it as a disguise but also forcefield to feel accepted and beautiful in their way. This is a beautiful thing. The only problem is a lot of them don't KNOW HOW TO DO IT and end up looking like everyone else desperatley trying to resemble Siouxsie in her prime. I mean honestly it just looks like every goth girl just wants to be Siouxsie.
But hey.
That's cool, too. I want to be her. Especially inside.
