Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Haha I found out about them through g-net as well, and they're one of my favorites too (Thanks Haunted House, if you're still out there somewhere). You should check out thier artwork as well, it's appropriately schizoid. If you like thier more hardcore punk stuff as well you should also check out Cross Stitched Eyes.

Yes, love the artwork as well...this band reminds me that I need to get hold of a Lovecraft novel soon.

I know nothing beats holding the book in your hand, but his writings, among other things, are compiled on http://www.hplovecraft.com/

You might try downloading them in audiobook format. I've practically accumulated Lovecraft's entire library on audio because I got so drawn in.
God, "The Haunter of the Dark" is so awesome.

I've never listened to an audiobook...not sure I'm really interested, I like sitting down with a book in hand. Anyway, just got out a collection of Lovecraft stories at the library, can't wait to read some.
So...once again...any more songs...anyone?

Awww yeah, seen the Brains twice, they're from the Montréal, the nearest decent city over, and it's definitely a good time.
You said that Bela Lugosi was too slow and atmospheric, so I don't know if this will fit, but Black Sabbath, by Black Sabbath? What's more halloween-y than being sacrificed to satan?
The Conqueror Worm - Sopor Aeternus
Poe's poetry turned to song, I dig it, no one else I hang out with seems to hahaha.

Thank you all for the help with the mixed CD. I think I should have plenty of songs now. I'd still like to see someone else's Halloween mix though if anyone has made one.
