Fireball whiskey gives me heart burn, but I love how warm I feel on the inside after a shot.
Remarkably, I'm not very drunk.

Randomness #1
So as of last week, the new prime minister of Jordan and I share our last name. He's a very distant relative of mine... But for some reason everyone becoming "nicer" when dealing with me.
Being a narcissist, that's a bit flattering, but I don't deserve it.. Which makes me feel guilty that I'm enjoying it.
Randomness #2
I have my GRE exam on Tuesday! I wanted to go to a halloween party this year -and for the first time in my life since people don't usually celebrate halloween here- but I couldn't! thanks to the stupid antediluvian vocabulary this exam requires me to know
This isn't the rant thread, but I had to make a point that I'm not fond of studying it. So I just became apathetic to getting a good grade.
Not like I'm gonna lose an organ if I don't get a good grade, right?
Randomness #3
Winter's finally hit Jordan! YAY!

Blah. A friend of mine is from Nova Scotia, and she posted on her facebook that Occupy Halifax should take down their tents and move so they can have the Remembrance Day ceremony they have every year in that location. Which I get, but then she said "Veterans fought for our right to protest and the military continues to protect these rights."
Yes, a WWI vet dying because Europe held an XTREME dick measuring contest sure protected our rights. I just don't know how to say that without coming off as dickish.

Amusement! For some reason people always think I'm a guy. Guess no one ever looks at my profile pic?

Google thinks I'm a man based on what sites I look at and there's this "genderize your blog!" thing that thinks I'm androgynous based on my tumblr.

Heteronormative pigeonholes are for people who don't have their minds on higher things, man.
I found the above on stumbleupon. Seems to hold true in my experience - most of my friends are both androgynous & creative. In any case, it's an interesting link, and one I never really considered before.

No that is not an exaggeration, I often sleep with that many layers on me. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to bury myself in a pile of blankets.

Be cool like me and start a moods journal?
I've been feeling pretty herky-jerky in the head lately and wondering if I should go back on meds, or if just going to a councilor and talking things out will help enough. Ever since I binged on Jagermiester on the night of the World Series I've drastically reduced the amount of drinks consumed so I don't know if that has helped things upstairs or made them worse.

I like to think that explains why I got all sniffly over the opening montage of Up.

There's a course at my school, Anthropology: War, Violence and Society, that is taught by a Vietnam War vet turned anti-war activist and it sounds amazing. But why, why is it at 9 am?

My earliest class this semester is 8am. This spring my earliest class was 7am.
Maybe they want to see how interested people really are?

I know, its just that when I'm working I'm usually closing at night, so I don't get home until ten. And I'm too awake to go right to bed. So maybe I'll just not work the night before XD

OMG!!! I worked an overnight cashier shift at Walmart a few years back and on my days off it was so damn boring! When I actually had the time to socialize with the few people I liked, they were always asleep.
I don't know what causes that 'so tired I'm hyper' shit, but I always hated it after work. When I was at work all I wanted to do as go home and climb into bed. Fucking brain....

President Obama is pretty charming. He had our Aussie parlimentarians all tripping over themselves to shake his hand.
Then he was wished a safe trip home to the jam and kisses and the tin lids by the speaker of our parliment... Go Aussies... *sigh*

*thoughtfully taps her face for a bit, then scritches at the side of her nose and does some more thinking whilst sipping Irish Creme coffee*

*sheepish and pleading grin*
And more coffee too if you've got any, please? Or nice strong Earl Grey will do too

My neighbor died this morning.
He was a nice olde man. One of those people from that point in time when neighbors looked in on one another and did things for each other. I'm not someone who likes having neighbors, but he was nice and I will miss him. I don't know if he died in his sleep or if his girlfriend found him lying in bed not breathing. She sometimes arrives early in the morning(before my kids even go to school) to spend the day with him. She was just freaking out, banging on our door because the EMS hadn't arrived yet. I was dialing 9-1-1 on my way next door when the police and ambulance arrived.
Today is just...sad...
