Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

You know what it is though? They catch you with hidden fees and shit. YOu see the sign, it says "$25 french tips". Then they keep adding and adding and adding and I hardly understand what they're saying most of the time so I don't want to be rude so I just nod my head. It's like "hey, we'll charge you flat rate $25 for us to glue the plastic to your fingernails, but if you want the clear stuff over it, extra. You want the polish on top, extra. And hey, since you're here, how about a pedicure? And don't forget our tip."
And there goes your whole paycheck.

Make a fuss, don't tell me you'd rather blow a chunk of your paycheck than tell some bitches off because THEY tried to play YOU.

Maybe not. Maybe they're honest, I just don't understand what they're saying.
I just decided not to get my nails did anymore. Just my toes.

*sigh* I miss my old nail place. The owner's son (who frequently was the one to do my nails) had a pretty big crush on me for quite some time so I would always get some extras thrown in for free. That and they all knew that I have a terrible time understanding accents of any type so they always were quite nice about enunciating.

Good luck finding it, such a lovely color!

I am going to purchase the green Zoya and China Glaze polishes via eBay, as I have found someone who is selling them for a reasonable price (after taking the exchange rate and the cost of postage into account).

My favorite brand is Rimmel London i wear Celebrity Bash which is a really nice dark red color, Blood Red which is shimmery red but has to have multiple coats to look proper and Deliciously Dark which is a pretty dark purple color. i also like OPI and NYC. I love a good shiny dark blue also. I try to avoid black nail polish.

I was going to call you out on a potentially racist statement by saying that I couldn't tell which nationality they were so it'd be rude of me to assume, but then I realized that I was about to say I couldn't tell which nationality they were and that was probably far more racist of me.

I wear nail polish all the time. I take it off and re-do it every five days on my fingers, and every ten days on my toes. The only kind of polish I wear is by Urban Decay and No Miss (I'm a vegan). Right now I'm wearing silver glitter polish by No Miss. I do my own nails. I tried the phony nails one time about 12 years ago but I hated them. Doing them myself is relaxing and doesn't cost anything.

When I wear nail polish, it's always dark red, burgundy or anything similar. I don't paint my toenails, it looks silly. I would love to have long nails; mine are really weak, so it's impossible.

O.P.I because it's good quality, application is very easy and smooth, stays on for ages, doesn't get thick and gloopy as fast as other brands.
Not sure about their range of colours since they're about £10 each.
My favourite colours are bright red, wine red, dark purple, electric blue and bright pink.

You know, a lot of people can pull it off, but I HATE seeing people with their toenail polish that's been on forever and as worn away until only the very center has this blob of polish on it. It looks really dirtbag to me-I'm not sure why.
That said, I always do a french tip on my toes just because I think it looks prettier, but I recently did a neon green with black polka dots on my fingers and then decided "what the hell" and went onward with my toes, and it turned out cute. The problem is that think it looks stupid when I wear peep-toed shoes. So it looks good barefoot but not with shoes.
Weird.
Holy shit I can't believe I just posted that long rambling blab about toenail polish.

I'm too ashamed to wear toe nail polish anymore, my feet look horrible, they get blistered so often since I'm on my feet all day so they're covered in scars and bruises. Maybe I'll ask my sister to give me a pedicure for my birthday but I think she'll be too afraid to touch them.
Lets hope I never date someone with a foot fetish.

It's cool. My feet are constantly squished into ill-fitting shoes (because they look cute) and it makes my pedi rub off on the corners and I get blisters and during the winter my feet dry out.
I feel you. If she does that stuff for a living then she's seen worse.

I can't paint my fingernails because of my work, but I love painting my toenails crazy colors. Right now they're a funky blue color.

I try to, but my nails are rather uneven right now.
I'd love to get some clear fake nails, and just paint over those. [Actually, I'd love to get them professionally done, but that's usually more than I'm willing to spend just for nails..]

Because of what I do, nail polish constantly chips, so usually I just stick with the toes. Right now they are metallic silver/grey. When I do have stuff on my nails, it's the usual suspects -- black, dark red, and any manner of blue.

I am a licensed nail techncian so I am ALWAYS coming up with new nail art designs. I am not too hung up on brands if I like it get it! My favorite is Where's My Tire, Jack? by Sephora (a blackish-grey color) and Deal with the Devil by Ruby Kisses (A deep dark blue).
