Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Dying Hair Black
I've contemplated dying my hair black for quite a while, but am still unsure do you think it would suit me?

Just do it dude, you can always bleach it out and dye it back if you don't like it.
Seriously, revlon black hair color is less than 4 dollars at my wal-mart. It comes with gloves and everything.

Yeah just do it. If you don't like it, so what- it comes out.

This may sound strange, but if you can possibly find and try on a black wig in a hairstyle roughly similar to your own hair, then do it. That will give you a reasonable indication as to wether black hair will suit you or not, and you won't have to faff about trying to fix dyed hair if you don't like the result.

Go for a soft black, or a very dark brown, avoiding blue blacks.

I agree with "just do it" folk. Made the same mistake with hasitating for too long. There's really no reason to. Most chances it won't look bad enough to demand dying it back anyway. Black actually looks good on most people.

Just do it, but be aware that it's true what they say, "once you go black you never go back" black doesn't bleach out well...if at all. So it's a commitment. I personally love the look, but am too fickle with hair color to do it. (I had blue-black hair all through high school then spent the next few years waiting for it to grow out)
In the end it's your hair, your call!

I see a cool color in the store and throw it in. If you have to think about it, it ruins half the fun.

I happen to enjoy Black Hair.
I like the Clean, Classic, Simple look that it imparts.
Go for it and see what you think.

Go for it! I personally love the blue-black color. I have been using henna for years and it hasn't damaged my hair at all...it actually strengthens it! The only downside is that it has to stay on for at least 2 hours!! I leave mine on longer and I do it on the days I don't have any plans.
