So tonight Jake and I went out with our friend Caity and had a couple of drinks, not exactly crazy times, mostly just catching up as we don't get to all get together very much. Her second and last drink of the night (as she was driving herself and she is a bit of a lightweight) was a margarita, when it came out it was the size of her head, easily three times the size of a normal margarita, and as I was the only one not driving I was volunteered to drink a rather large portion of it (pretty much the whole thing other than her first few sips), in addition to my own drinks, so I ended up drinking a lot more than anyone else. Now Caity is on her way home, Jake is checking his email, and I'm all "lets go do something!" only nobody else wants to do anything so I'm extremely bored.

So apparently belvedere vodka thought that using the line “Unlike some people, Belvedere goes down smoothly” was a good idea, even better is that they put it on a picture of what looks like a girl trying to get the hell away from a guy with a douchy, creepy smile. Sure they eventually issues an apology after there was a pretty major backlash but seriously what was going through those ad execs heads?

Not the first time I've seen ads like that, sadly. I can't find it now but there used to be an ad for a local criminal defense law firm that said something like "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary*, Thyme. *Beat one of these, call us."

Sometimes I forget what an unusual place Newport News is, for example it is not normal for a strip club to be well known for their food, even less so for their food to be so popular that they bought out the place next to them and opened a restaurant (the two places share the one kitchen), the restaurant boasts about its family friendly atmosphere and is always extremely busy. Nobody from around here finds this the least bit unusual (and that isn't because they have just gotten used to it, the restaurant opened like 5 years ago and nobody thought it was weird even when it was brand new).

It should be noted that they are only slightly more well known for their food than for their top stripper, who is a legit stripper champion and happens to only have one arm.

I'm going to start a blog about my intensely weird and wonderful dreams. I plan to draw pictures to go along with some of the descriptions as well. I have a title for it and everything which I'm sure will get me some misdirected traffic because of what it is. Should give me something to do at the very least. On a side note, I'm almost certain that my medications are making my dreams more intense than they used to be.

That sounds awesome. I've been wanting to do something like that, but I thought of making a bunch of short stories. A blog sounds much better, I'm a little jealous I didn't think of it. Link me when you have it up.

Sounds like a great idea. Do you have lucid dreams? Can you control the outcome? Do you have a favourite dream?

I have really bizarre dreams and I can't even blame meds for it. Sometimes I dream in series, so when I chicken out at a certain stage, I have to relive the dream until I get through it.

But I always have lucid dreams which is why I can't watch horror movies at night, because I'll dream about it. The weirdest dreams used to come after I watched Star Trek or Star Wars - never knew I was that good with a light sabre - lol.

Although I have just started some meds which promise to have strange dreams... so maybe it wil equal itself out and I'll have normal dreams for a change.

MOC Most of my stories come from dreams. Let me know if you write yours down into short stories - would love to read them :-D
