Indeed... Actually I think they are just chunks of stone and they have to be burnt to get rid of the remains - no idea why but there we go..

Standing out in a shower of rain this morning in my pj's, feeling the sprinkle of raindrops on my face and listening to the silence before dawn. It was beautiful and cold and I still feel the cold in my bones... hmmm... lovely...

Way to go MissC - yep you will notice tht you won't necessary lose weight but you will tighten up, so you'll fit into smaller clothes.
So don't go by the weight on the scales.
Woohoo!
Friend had a baby girl. Went to visit them both last night in hospital and I wasn't the slightest bit clucky, which I thought I would be.
Happy for them that she is perfect, and I smiled and cooed over the baby but was really glad it wasn't me with a newborn - oh I remember those days only too clearly.

Yes MC the congratulations were for you, the number on the scale is meaningless but dropping an inch off the waist is pretty awesome progress.

Hey Sol, this'll probably sound dumb but since you brought it up:
Someone close to me has a problem finding bra's that fit right, and she wears them out. The last one that fit just broke. She always winds up with the underwire poking out, and doesn't know what to do, and we have a somewhat limited budget. I think this happens because she wears the same bra for weeks, because that's how I wear out socks--but what do I know?
Anyway, do you know how she can find cheap, comfortable bras that fit?

The ones I got were just under $40 and that is on the cheap side for what I can get, but depending on her size she may be able to find some that are a little cheaper but really bras under that don't hold up as well, especially if you have a larger bust, because they aren't built the same. Most people think bras should be cheap because there is so little material but what you are really paying for is labor, a good quality bra has way more stitches, like support panels and the stitching that keeps the underwire in place.
You may very well be right about why her bras aren't lasting, you cannot wear the same bra every day. As it is exposed to the heat of your body the elastic stretches out, it essentially needs a cool down period or else the elastic begins to break down, this process is majorly accelerated in a dryer so always hang dry bras (washing machines are fine as long as you put them in a delicate bag, a pillowcase also seems to work just fine), making the band of the bra no longer fit properly. If the band does not fit then the bra doesn't give you the proper support and it also will not stay in place so as you move the bra rubs, causing discomfort and causing wear on the fabric, especially around the underwire, which can cause it to pop out.
I got mine from herroom.com, they actually have a bit of a sale going on right this weekend. This is also the place where they have a thing to input your size in a specific brand and they tell you what size in other brands will fit, which is quite helpful when ordering online.

Got my marks back, and I did very very well. Even in the philosophy course I bitched about and didn't participate in much.

My best friend addresses me as a girl and he doesn't even mean it offensively. I really had no idea how happy this would have made me until it hit me. Then to top it off, I was drawing picture after picture, which is more work than I have done in the past two years.

To be honest, I have no idea. I'm a little leery on wanting to be referred to as a female, mainly because I don't want to force anything on people that are uncomfortable with it and I don't want to feel like I'm trying to pretend to be female. But, I loved it when I was referred to as female, mainly because, it felt like my friend actually accepted me and didn't just see me as I look, but actually what I felt.

Well its no difference to us, we only see you on tinychat sometimes so its way easier here than it is IRL with people who've known you a long time.
And you could look like the most macho man who ever lived and I'd still make the effort.

Doesn't make a difference to me, just don't expect me to always remember it, I've got enough trouble remembering names.
