Grammar....please. Not everybody likes reading netspeak, and you will get flamed if you continue to use it.

You have done this a couple of times already. Stop.

Next time they say that, you should offer them a prize for being so observant!

I've heard it, too, and my response is either "No I'm not, you're crazy!" or "Wow, your skills of observation never CEASE to astound me!"

That's a very good point. I finnished college 5 years ago (I'm so fuk'in old!) Prior to college I never realy identfied with my self as a goth, mainly because at that time the ony conection I had with the goth culture was my clothes and the music I listend to, there were no other goths at my school, so I was just a "Freak". When I went to college I met like minded friends and all us "freaks" hung out together. Then Columbine happend. We went from being "freaks" to fully fledged members of the Evil Goth Trench Coat Mafia. And me with out my memborship card.

It's not that bad, really. I've never been accused of wanting to bomb the school. Mainly, the people who are accused are the quiet book worms who have no social skills and even less friends.

Just another example of an institution singleing out the weak then. Me and my mates were the quiet book geeks, we still didn't want to kill anyone. I suppose the more Goths are disected in mainstream media the less scarey we become, leaving some other group of outcasts to fill our place.

I am in college right now, so the dress is....wait, there isnt one-ha! Well, I gues, technically there is a dress code-to wear clothes to school. But there is no limit to what you can and can not wear. But in my high school it wasnt that bad, right before I graduated the rules started getting a little strict, and after I graduated, they got way worse. I think it is bullshit that they can tell kids what to wear. There should be some limits, but in some cases they go too far. I wrote a letter to our local newspaper about it too. Didnt help.

Over here, my school gives more dress code lee-way to the honors students. Meaning I can get away with more violations than most people. It is not fair, but it's in my favor, so I really don't mind.

at my school dress codes are existing (no low-cut tops or tops showing the belly/the shoulders, no miniskirts) but especially the older pupils fully ignore this rules and none of the teachers intervenes.

Well then would it count as being naked if you have a bath robe on? I mean, technically, it is covering yourself....

My most stooooopid! moment in school was a rebelion against the piercing policy that went badly wrong. I wanted my nose pierced but was unsure of how it would look, so I bought a pair of magnetic ear studs and put one on either side of my nose and wore them to school. I got a few looks and some people even complimented e on my brave "piercing". I felt soooo hard core! untill in french I scratched my nose and knocked the outside part of the stud off, the magnetic bits inside my nostrils spun round and stuck together inside my nose, leaving the other out side part of the earing, not wanting to miss the fun, to shoot up my nose as well. This left me in the middle of french with 1 pair of earings stuck up my nose. I had to go to the nurse to get them out again. Did any one else have an experiance like this inthier earlier fumbleings with thier image. Or if you're just startig to fumble, please share your stories. Am I starting a thread?

Oh wow. That story made me laugh. My dad took one of those magnetic earrings and used it as a nose ring, just for a joke. It was kinda funny, especially because he's one of the last people who would get a nosering, I think. I was 6 at the time, so I laughed and disapproved. I used to try very hard to be normal when I was young.

Our highschool only banned the low necklines, exposed undies, exposed midriffs, muscle shirts, very short skirts/shorts, etc.

Not usuallt a tanktop, but it is generally a brightly colored shirt worn by guys that is like a second layer of skin. It show of muscles. They happen to be one of my fetishes. I would get very distracted if someone were to wear one at my school....
