You can use a Chrome incognito window. That's how my teddy-sheep has his own Fetlife profile.

I don't know why people pack their house with them when the travel.
I bring a duffle bag and just carry cigarettes and my wallet because I'm a badass.

Isn't that what the military taught you? I know my dad does that, I do too pretty much.......My mother on the other hand, in spite of her brief time with the military, will bring everything.....except what she actually needs.

I don't think so. It just seems kind of intuitive to not pack a bag so much that you can't even lift it as a carry on. I typically pack bags like I might have to walk with them for dozens of miles, but I don't think that's a thing. It just makes sense.

I try to pack pretty lightly, I always bring extra shirts but those aren't too heavy or bulky so I can easily take a week long trip with just my backpack.

I have dog-cats. They follow me everywhere. Although I do hate it when they roll in kangaroo poo.
And you are bad ass. Totally badass.
I was moving a trailer the other day. It got away from me and if it wasn't for a raised garden bed, I would have been run over. As it was the wheels hit the garden bed, and lifted the towball area, so it didn't do something like break my ribs.
As I was lying on the ground, staring at the underneath of a trailer, all I could think about was that I'd said. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" and babybat was around, and I was worried because i swore in front of him.
If only I bruised, then I'd have some killer bruises to show off. Instead all I got was a scratch and a little hole on my back. No wonder I never win lotto, i use my luck up in other ways.

Its nothing planned XD I'm just getting a visitor in an hour and I realized another Gnetter lives here too so if we hung out, it could technically be a Gnet hangout. But alas, only three.

I used to self-harm quite often.
For most people it works as a coping mechanism for stress. There is a sense of control and calmness that it gives - the psychological reasons can be varied. For some people it's about feeling like they need to be punished and fulfilling that need to give themselves pain. Personally I found that when I would see the blood it helped me to feel more grounded and real because I felt very detached from everything otherwise.
There's a physical response to self-harm that increases the addictive factor of it as well.. when you cut your brain releases neurochemicals that make you feel better. So, just like giving up smoking or any other substance, there is a physical and psychological aspect to the addiction.
I stopped in a few steps. First of all I started to not cut myself anymore, but when I felt like I wanted to I would take out my box of sharp things and dump it out then spend time rearranging it all so they fit back in the box neatly. I found that this was enough to take the edge off.
The second step was that one night I dismantled the box while talking with a friend of mine.. we wanted to see how it felt and how I coped with not having it all together as long as I knew that at the end of the conversation I would put it back together. I kept it all dismantled for about an hour while we talked and while I felt very anxious about it, I was able to cope with the fact that the box was dismantled.
A couple of days later we talked about things that I could do that would mark how well I was coping after I'd dismantled the box. I ended up buying a glass vase and a box full of little green glass marbles on the day that I dismantled the box for good. Each night at midnight I put a marble in the jar to mark a day that I haven't remade the box of sharp things. There has only been one day since then where I cut.. and that meant putting the marbles away and starting back over again.
This picture is a little bit old. I'm up to 102 marbles... 103 tonight.

Ok.. so completing thoughts would be a good idea...
What I also wanted to say was that the feeling of wanting to self-harm hasn't miraculously gone away, the habit of that being the first reaction to how I deal with stressors is slowly changing. When I want to cut, I go and count the marbles, I line them up, I divide them into groups, I try to stack them up into pyramids.. and doing those things helps me to wind down the anxiety levels (as well as a whole host of other tricks and things I try to step back from an acute anxiety attack).
But, it's like kicking any addiction. Work out why you do it - what are the things that it give you? Then work out how you can get those things in a different way.
