that's how mom got her pugs. Original owner didn't like how needy they are, and originally only wanted to get rid of one but mom saw how depressed the dogs were by being seperated so she convinced her to sell her the second one as well.
Funny thing, a few months ago she contacted mom asking if she could have them back.

Well it turned out the woman changed her mind and wants to keep it. I feel sorry for the poor little bugger. Wanted one second and not the next :/
My brother had a backup plan. He found a chap really close to where we live who needed to sell his puppies asap. It turns out it's a small fucking world, as this guy is the brother of a guy I work with !
Burns (workmate) has sworn on his kids life that his brother's children are evil incarnate.
He said that they killed their pet rabbit, by one holding it round the neck, and the other covering it's mouth until it suffocated. Burns can tell a sick joke or two, but I could see he wasn't fucking kidding about this. He won't even allow these kids to be in the house with his new baby as he fears they might be rough with him or even hurt him O.o So his brother needs to get these pups sold for their own safety as much as anything. WTF.
So we now have a little jack russel girl. She's really small and impossibly cute. Mother has called her Jenny , which frankly is a shit name for a dog IMO but it's mother's choice and technically her dog so...
I shall post pics soon. She's really sweet and likes to sit on your foot. Her current favourite toy is a glove discarded by my niece which she loves to rag and shake ^_^

Finally got my referral to the pain managment clinic sent through so I should hear from them sooner rather than later. Also, I picked up a load of cheap Dr. Seuss books for my niece for Christmas at the discount bookstore that's just opened in town, she's gonna love them

Finding out that I may actually have unclaimed property. Woohoo!! It probably isn't even enough to make a decent donation to the poor folks affected by Hurricane Sandy, but it's nice to know there are actually people who owe me money -- for a change.

Brunch is the best, I'm so sad that places only seem to do brunch on Sundays because we usually meet up with friends for breakfast around 11 on Saturdays but since it is Saturday and not Sunday there is no real brunch
Our Halloween party turned out really well, there ended up being about 20 people for most of the night, about four who stayed late, and two people who spent the night. I didn't really get any pictures, which made me sad as I was pretty proud of the spread I put out and the tree/vine thingies that I made in the corners of the living room, I tried getting those but with the lights and the fact that our ceiling has a semi-gloss paint the pictures kind of looked like the ceiling was on fire.

Ever realize the more you study the more panicked you get about an exam? Decided to take a break and look at tumblr, and I saw this and died.

It didn't exactly make my day, but finding out that there is actually a sign on King's Cross station in London saying Station 9 3/4 made me snicker a bit.

I took a sanity day off of work to get annoying stuff done that I never usually have time to take care of. And I went to this food bank/outreach place because the bills have been kicking my butt lately and well, sometimes extra help...helps. So I stood on a line for 40 minutes in the rain, but when I got in, I looked at the clothes section, which I ordinarily never do.
And they had three brand-new winter coats for boys, the perfect size, color etc. for my kids. Including a plain black Nautica jacket for my suddenly brand-conscious 11 yr. old.
I swear, when I start doing better financially I'm going to donate to that place. They made my day/month/winter.
