My insecuritites stemmed from elementary bullies. I was called most ugly names in the book from ass face to zblurt. Well, alright, not zblurt, but ugly. My height was ridiculed, as was my height, intelligence and my maturity.

I was really never bullied. But I did get some VERY peculiar looks in the 7th and 8th grade because I looked much older than I was back then.

Well I went to a school full of semi-illiterate, uneducated chavs, so the most imaginative insult I ever got was "you're ginger!" *touches hair in wonderment* AM I? Wow, thanks. I'll log that away. Now fuck off.

Ah, the body aged before the mind. How terrific. Don't you hate that now? Now 14 year olds have zzzz boobs and then mind of a 2 year old?

And seriously, I completed reading a report that stated that tall men and slender women earn more. Nice qualifications.
if more emphasis were to be placed on the mind rather than the body and they joys that it brings, our 6th graders might read at a 6th grade level;. And not use l33t.

Everytime you post I fall more and more in love with you. Also, I have noticed (as I am sure everyone has) that obesity has multiple excuses. As well, so does sexuality and sexual flaunting. If children were kept off chatrooms and were indulged in books or other imagination generating events (drama club anyone?), I believe we would have a more well-rounded, intelligent generation. I am personally digusted at what I see coming after me. It scares me. Soon there will no socialization except the internet and everyone will work and live in a cubicle with a food tube shoved down their throat for sustanance.{sp?}

I've just learned to be apathetic about future generations. Let them destroy themselves. Just as long as it doesn't affect me.

I make up silly little songs about my catand then sing them to him. My mother does this to her cats, and every time I do it, I get a bit disgusted with myself that I'm so obviously becoming my mother. My mother is cool, but man, can she be corny.

My height was also ridiculed. In school, if you're not within the 4" span of normal height, you're toast. Same goes for weight. I was skinny - 5'9" and 95 pounds - even though I ate constantly, and no one ever let me forget how gangly and bony I looked.
And intelligence... another hallmark of the ostracized! Being smart makes one about as popular as a leper.
For me, school was a little slice of hell every day.

When exactly did it become cool to be ignorant? I wanna know who's responsible for that particular trend.

They say anyone in honors classes is a nerd. I think they are just jealous though. I mean, after all, they are going to be the ones writing the checks, and we will be the ones recieving them.

I think it is jealousy, at least to a certain extent. They wish they could be smart, so they insult the smart person to make themselves feel more adequate.
Hey, I wish I could play a musical instrument or paint! But I don't insult musicians and painters to make myself feel better. I've just never understood that concept - it's twisted to me.
I thought things would improve in college. The teasing stopped, but I was still ostracized. Somehow, after the first class or two, people I'd never met before had me pegged as "the smart one" and avoided talking to me. I really hated that... no one would give me a chance.
Want to be popular? You'd better be outstandingly mediocre. :P

Aah, they were just worried they'd look stupid if they sat next to you!
If stupidity is a badge of coolness, embrace your outcast position. Hey - makes for great poetry! :-)

I always got made fun of for being flat. My friends would joke and I would laugh along with them and joke too, but deep inside I was hurt and embarrassed. I am...still in the "A's" and I am 20 years old!! When I was in 8 th grade me and this guy broke up so his friend came up to me and said a stupid poem that went "Roses are red, and tires are black, why is your chest as flat as my back." I wanted to cry but I had a mean comeback that I cant remember. I want implants but dont have the balls to go through with it, I dont think it would be worth it, but because of this my self esteem over the years has been demolished. But my husband doesnt seem to mind, and that's all that counts.

Not have a stylish chest? Pfffft. Frankly, breast sizes are not that cool. Especially the implants. I've seen girls walk aroung with breasts so huge they practically covered their faces.

I'm not being sarcastic. It's true. There are SO many things I can't wear because my chest isn't stylish.
|
Ok...That's just weird and crazy. But ya know the problem-I am not "in" to what's stylish and new. I never was, I always had my own style when it came to hair and clothes. (Except that whole Avril Lavigne-tie thing...but that was only ONCE!) But hey, whatever floats your boat. At least people will think, "Hey, she's like, totally stylish!" instead of, "Oh my God, she is like, totally flat..."

That would be my mother. Luckily I got my boobs from my dad's side of the family. My mom was barely an A cup when she was pregnant with me. She got mad when I started to develop and refused to buy me a bra. She said I was took young. That was cruel. Kids used to tease me and say I was "flapping in the wind".. fucking jerks.

That sucks... I think I have a complex now, the only time I DON'T wear a bra is when I'm sleeping...
