Great job mods. The site is much cooler now.

And also I don't know if anyone noticed, but PM's have been turned back on it seems.

Thank you very much for taking our comments and queries into consideration with regards to multiple things. The offline/online bubbles are much easier to determine now. Thanks.

That made my head freaking hurt. I read things in my mind with my voice, and I don't like to hear my voice pronounce something as "dis". I don't like sounding like my father is my great aunt as well.

Can we get the green colorization back for the buttons in the threads? You know, like the "Post Reply" button, the "quote" button, etc? Or how about a cool blue color! I think that would look good and it wouldn't be so abbrasive as the green.

Also, are we going to get the quick jump thing back at the bottom of the threads? You know, the one that lets you choose the forum to jump back to?

I'm stil in love with it all!

I didn't have a chance to see much of the old site anyways, I mean I'm still a very new member. I do really like the new site because it looks more formal and isn't as plain like it was before.

When I first logged onto g.net, I was a bit astonished and confused to what i thought of the new changes to the site. I can now opinionate. I suppose the background is quite nice, and I originally didn't really like the fact that the columns were too thin for my likely, as reading a post that was awfully long, seem pretty annoying. I'm also actually beginning to adjust myself to the new scenery here on g.net, and the new literary feel to the site is a good improvement.

This is awesome! The colour scheme kicks arse, and now we know whether someone is online or offline, I like that.

I think it looks much classier. I miss the 'jump to' at the bottom of the threads too!

I love the new look. The pattern is awesome, too. I do think that if we removed the column of pattern on the left side, it would look.... Maybe not. It wuold be interesting to try though.

And I've fallen in love with the title picture at the top.

It did take me by surprise when I logged on today. mmmm... I like it though. Good work.

People's ability to express their disagreement seems to be fairly healthy here already.

How would you suggest that work? Would there be special rules?

I agree with the statement about disgreements. There was something else that I thought we should have in here... what was it? Maybe a section specifically for advice would be a good idea...

Oh yeah, I was thinking that a section for art should be added. We have section for lit and music (I think?), why not have one for art?

With regards to issues, they either state it is an opinion, rebuttal (usually done by a quote or name), or if they are stating facts (sources cited of course). The topic will be for political, spiritual, religious, and other debates. That way, the one in general about the bible can be moved, and the part in whining about abortion can be moved as well.

My suggestion is that you might want to just start a couple new threads to debate issues you are interested in, outline the guidelines you'd like people involved in the conversation to try to stick to in the intro, and see how that goes. If those sorts of threads are popular and active (and perhaps civil) then a section might potentially be in order.

I'm not fond of the width, or lack there of, of the column. Independent of other web experience, I'd likely have no problem with it, but as I do I find it a bit tedious for responding in the forum. I seem to be in the minority, but I might as well be honest.

The background is definitely an eye-pleaser, however, and the form of the site outside of the boards seems to be perfectly adjusted for what this site is intended to be. As it stands, my only complaint is the column width.

I find it hard to distinguish whether there is an arrow that signifies a new post. Maybe if there is a bit of color added? Red, possibly.

Personally, I think the site is fine.

To me the site layout and what-not doesn't really matter. The people make the forum.

If the people that are here now stay, then the site will always be awesome.

That red sounds like a good idea. There's red in the circles for new posts in the boards, and I agree it would be effective for new thread-posts as well.

Sweet! I love the new look. Especially the moon through the trees I'm looking at. The background could be more moody...Maybe a watermark of the moon and trees...

It seems to me every thread becomes a debate of sorts.

i always thought the "Politics" section was where all the debates took place.
