Today a single girl in her mid-twenties with bad hair woke up, pulled her dentures out of her dresser, and put them in her mouth; she's had them for a couple years now. She has no top front teeth, and only three molars. She's been unemployed for years and college has made it even harder to find a job around where she lives. She's spent years dealing with stomach ulcers, and has puked up specks of blood before almost every class for the first two semesters she's been at community college.
She went through severe depression for years, and social anxiety for longer. She has been on multiple medications, and has went through cold turkey SSRI withdrawal and the associated brain shocks twice. Her body is covered in hidden scars from years of cutting. None of the medications ever helped. She doesn't get along with her mother, and has barely talked to her in what seems like a decade. In 2009, she had an extremely surreal conversation with her father about the possibility of taking her to a mental institution because it seemed like the only way she could save her own life.
She studied meditation from 2008 and started exercising in 2010. With meditation and exercise combined, she was able to get back a sense of self-worth and change her entire worldview. But as she got more involved in meditation she got back positive feelings from it, and started to believe more and more in yoga philosophy. This lead her to create her own method of visualizing techniques, based on Kundalini, the most physchologically dangerous form of yoga in existence, in order to see if she could really gain these positive feelings permanently or "enlightenment".. and do it faster than anyone else.
She instead, brought on a rare condition called Kundalini Syndrome, which some people have gotten from practicing similar spinal-focused forms of yoga and is virtually unknown by therapists. There are stories that others who have had this rare phenomena have ended up with dementia prescriptions or in physch wards. She felt it was pointless to go to a therapist, because at best she'd have an open-minded one she would be teaching with what little she knew.
Where there was positive emotions, there was also pain and pressure in her head, inner light appearances, sleep paralysis where it felt like she was falling through her head-- and the fear of death that came with that, Depersonalization and Derealization Disorder, feelings like forced electrical shocks and permanent changes within the brain, consistent sporadic twitches, the feeling of nihilism without any belief in it, ect.
Never sure if it was the right thing to do or not, she dealt with this alone. Most of the symptoms eventually stopped. She still has Derealization Disorder but can turn it on and off at will. She continues to attempt to rationally study phenomena around meditation to this day.

Even better, bolognaise meat sauce used as a pizza spread under the topping.

Oh my fucking sweet hades... My dad just showed me this video. It's.... I was speechless. What a stupid thing to do ! One of the commentors below said he died shortly after which isn't surprising in the least. I'm frankly astounded he made it to hospital and was still breathing when he got there.
NOTE - VERY HORRID AND GRAPHIC NOT for the squeamish so don't watch it if blood and gore bother you. The guy splits his face completely in half down the middle , after diving incorrectly in a really idotic place. There's a lesson folks. *shudders*

If it makes you feel better, I only remember because my squad leader was killed by a sniper a few days later.

I keep getting too distracted while I'm typing and accidentally using it. I should probably get off the computer but yeah no.

That sucks Timeless. I most likely failed my Economics class this quarter and will have to repeat in order to achieve my associates degree. I hate placing the blame on anyone, but the instructor was such a fuck up that when we thought we were caught up it turned out none of the class was. As a result, everyone lost at the minimum 9 points of their grade.

That was the near unanimous decision of my classmates and I. I don't doubt half of us are retaking the course this summer.

Bayonetta may just be the most cliché and sexist game I have ever played.
It is about a demon witch girl with big boobs, minimal and changing outfits that get smaller the deadlier the technique - because obviously, her outfit consists of her hair, and said hair is needed for powerful magic........
And she then battles disfigured monsters that are actually angels of the light while always sucking on a lollipop, doing sexy photoshoot poses mid-battle and making sexual jokes left and right.

I liked bayonetta solely on the idea of the angels being the bad guys. But, yes everything else about the game made me want to crawl in a dark hole and bludgeon myself to death.

Exactly!
Funny thing is, I asked this employee at Gamestop, and she seemed to really like it. So this game - a sexist mix of male-pleasing bad ideas - was suggested to me by a girl gamer.
And what the heck is up with calling heaven Paradiso?? Like that doesn't sound incredibly moronic...
I am not through the game yet, but the storyline even seems thin.

I wish I could send Saya a pint of the chocolate sorbet from the Ice Cream Bar in San Fran, it is amazing. They offer plenty of unusual and awesome flavors but I always end up getting at least one scoop of the chocolate sorbet, it's just sooooo good (and one of the two vegan options that they always carry).
