Orbital - The Doctor Who theme tune.
Yes, I know lots of people will quite happily sing the praises of Murray Gold's current arrangement, and yes, it does fit the title sequence very well -- but it's got nothing on Delia Derbyshire's original. Almost nothing compares to that.
The Orbital version comes close, though. As does Peter Howell's arrangement. It's all in the bass, people... those little pre-echoes...
