Pit, I love the picture. If you don't mind my saying so, it has a definate gothic feel to it. It reminds me of a pottery jar I made in art class many moons ago. I made it look like a broken dilapidated house for an evil pixie or fairy. Wish I'd taken pictures of it!
Great pic!

^-this one I took in Salem, MA on Halloween night in front of a graveyard. I haven't messed with it at all. If you look on the left just under the sign you can see a pale blur...
^-This one ended up lovely looking to me the way the dim lighting shows on the tombstones and fades. Also taken in Salem, MA but at a different graveyard

Whoa, all of your work is amazing, I almost feel ashamed to post mine here. But I'm bored, so...
Now that I really look at it, I fucked up on a few little things.

In the middle of Math class?? *sigh* I've always wished I could draw amazing pieces of artwork like that ever so nonchalantly.
Well done! I would love to see what you can do when you give your art your full attention.
If you have some please post!

Bugger. If I'd have known about the art thread I wouldn't have put the cartoons I've been drawing into the Shill thread. Anyone mind if I replicate them over here?
Love that reaper, Metuo. Lovely bit of draftsmanship! And that landscape, Metatron, is simply terrific. I'm always keen on a bit of fantasy art and even though there isn't much happening in that piece, it's very moody. You could cut the atmosphere in that picture with a knife.

Wow, I hadn't seen that Metatron. It's very detailed!
It reminds me of the artwork from Guild Wars.

Thank you! I was thinking of putting a dragon in there, but I kind of like it the way it is...and it would mean re-doing some things.

I'm glad you didn't! Sticking a dragon in it would have been a waste of good scenery, and would have blocked up all that light pouring in from over the crag.

I'm glad you didn't put a dragon in there as well. I agree with Phil, it would've distracted from the beauty of the landscape itself. I'm sure that you can do some amazing fantasy work though.

trying to find an actual portrait I did... but I may not have a copy... (I sold it as it was commissioned)

Ah you mean the funny sexless angel one? I actually named them Gabriel(le) because it was supposed to be the Archangel Gabriel & I was going to do it as a woman when I sketched the face, but as I went along I attempted to make it a little more masculine thus taking away it's breasts.
