Thank you I do need to drop a few more pounds before Febuary, so dieting powder seemed an easy and fail-safe solution.

I had a customer last night who was outright ridiculous in her attempts to get what she wanted, and I caved, and I woke up angry about it and now I can't get back to sleep -_-*

Oh hun, thank you for your support.
I only usually cry when people do something nice for me... shite, I'd be screwed if I ever went on one of those shows where they renovate your house, I'd be a huge pile of blubbering jello in the corner.
better get back to pushing the roadtrain up hill with the handbrake on... sigh.. there are times when I feel like I'm walking over hot coals... if I stop and actually pay attention to where my feet are going, then I'm going to freak right out, so I'm just letting the worries go, and hauling my leadfilled ass forward, over the coals to the nice dirt on the other side.

Yeah, I'm just about at the end of my going tho. I've pushed so many times that now, I get to the point where I actually wonder what the hell I'm pushing through the hard times for? More hard times? More of this same old crap...
Plus I get so far, and then have a trigger, and then have to control the 'freakout session' because I have no option to fall apart, and then I really wonder if that was the best thing I could have done, because I have a sneaking suspicion, it ain't going to end well....
Ohh... fruity is a angry batty at the moment... and I thought I got my temper under control. It's okay, I'll take my grumpy pants off and get back to my idiocy and rudeness (maybe I could keep one leg in my grumpy pants, because they are mighty comfortable...)

@Versus - meds don't have to be a permanent thing (although they aren't pleasant to stop).. and a lot of people make a lot of progress on them. Good luck with deciding whether they are a thing that you want to try.. and whichever decision you make, it isn't final.. you can change your mind later.

No, it's not that. I'd lose my position if I started medication right now. Friend of mine was actually transferred to a different unit for the same reason and I'm doubtful I'll see him again. I can't lose my job.

That is horrible. So basically, they tell you all to suffer in silence or get the boot?
That seems excessively cruel to me..

No, it's not. It's fucking stupid to let somebody who just started medication deploy.

^^This.
And not only for the sake of the people around them, but for their own sake as well.
It's hard work to start taking meds. There are horrible side effects to deal with, and it takes a long time to get the right medication for someone.
For instance, you might start on something common and then have to wait for a few weeks to see if it works.. and it doesn't, so you up the dose and then have to wait.. and it still doesn't work, so the dosage is increased again.. until they decide that this isn't the medication for you. Then you get to slowly wean yourself off it over a number of weeks and start a new medication.. which means trying to find the right dose again.
During all this you have to deal with the side effects.. so, let's say that you're getting a relatively common and easy to deal with side effect like headaches. It might take a couple of weeks for your body to adjust so that you don't get the headaches anymore (IF that happens.. for some people they just don't adjust) and by the time you're at the stage where you aren't getting headaches it's come time to adjust your dose.. so yay, more headaches.
Now, if you're working in retail then a constant headache is going to make you snarky with customers.. which isn't great. If you're in the armed forces, then... get where this is going?
And that's just headaches. You can also get stomach issues, chronic diarrheoa, vomiting and nausea, suicidal ideation.. and the list goes on.
And that isn't even touching on what happens when you're trying to decrease doses.
Starting on medication is hard work, and you need safe spaces to be able to do it.
@Versus - I hope shit works out for you.

Yeah, the military sucks at that. Last year I was seriously depressed. When I talked to my chief, I was essientially told, that if I told anyone , or if I started anti-depressants, that I would ve transfered out of my rating and marked non-deployable, then at that point the Navy would go over if I would be of use to them or not, if not and my depression became unmanageable i would be discharged. Administratively and not medically.

It's not for having the depression, it's for symptoms of the depression. "Failure to adapt." is a real term.

I was more "WTF-ing" about mental illness being failure to adapt.
I went ahead and googled it anyway... found a fuckton of heartbreaking stories and got another snapshot of what bureaucracy on steroids looks like.
I hope you're able to find a good, workable solution.

In one sentence? That's disrespectful as fuck. You want to know what people's lives are like, ask, by all means. But for fucks sake, you listen to them until they're done talking.
