Curly or straight?
So now I keep my hair curly, but I wonder how does it look better, straight or curly?

I have this problem as well. My hair is naturally curly as hell. I would like to keep it curly if my hair was shorter, and I think it looks good like that. Then again, it's easier to take care of when it's straight. So I suppose I could use the advice as well. lol.

Well... not to be a pest or something but without pictures we don't know how either of you look, so we can't give any serious advice on which would look the better (unless we got some mindreaders on the forum, which I highly doubt). What looks good on one person might look horrible on another...

I have curly hair and am quite attached to it...
Might I inquire as to how you have yours cut Noumi?

Curly hair is AMAZING! It takes so much to curl my hair because it's dead straight.
Both straight and curly looks good...it depends on how you style it to suit your look.

Both look beautiful in their own way. If worn straight, it can be pinned into a bun or just let the curls hang and bounce. It's just so razor keen to watch a curl spring back into place when pulled and released.
Try pigtails, big braids, buns. Honestly, I don't see many limits and if need be, just ask around for products from people in your own problematic shoes.

Straight! With flat bangs just a bit above my eyes. Curles need to be controled.

I wish I could have curls. My hair curls when it's short, but it's too thick, heavy, and long right now. If I had layers I could maybe do curly, but I have mostly one length to avoid cowlicks.
I think as long as the hair is healthy and shiny, it looks good curly or straight.

Go with curly.
I'm in love with jet black hair done in ringlets. Irresistible.

I have straightened black hair myself (my hair has a natural wave that looks like total crap in the morning without my straightener) but I agree with grauenacht, black hair in tight ringlets are adorable.

I have naturally perfectly straight hair, but I see a lot of girls (and guys) on the scene with straight hair, whether natural or artificial.
Victorian ringlets would be lovely- they frame a face beautifully, whether their wearer is thin or curvy. Perfectly straight hair, unless it has a lot of volume, tends to look a bit off people at the plus-sized end of the clothing range, and big curly hair looks a little odd on particularly scrawny people.

If that's you, then straight's fine. Perfectly straight, very dark hair always looks a little exotic- an aesthetic lure.

I have curly hair down to my lower back and it requires an unbelievable amount of maintenance. Why anyone would WANT their hair to be like that is truly beyond me.

I have long curly hair and I love it. I can't post pictures because I am rubbish with computers, but it's sort of like Helena Bonham Carter's except blond, unfortunately (my parents won't let me dye it). It helps make my rather round face look thinner, which I like.
But I know people who look great with straight hair too. I think it depends on your face and what your individual style. I know curls suit Victorian-style goths (me), but I'm nit sure about other styles.

My hair is naturally wavy, I used to want it straight but now I'm glad it's not. I love putting products in my hair to show my naturally wavy hair and try to volume my hair. Plus I hate using straight irons on my hair, I'd never use one. If I ever use any type of iron and it's to curl my hair and I do that every once in a great while. It all depends on the person imo but for me it doesn't seem to work for me. Do what you think suits you best! Don't worry too much what others will say. =)

I love long curly hair.
Mine is super straight. I have tried curling it and failed terribly.

I used to hate my curly hair so much I had it shaved regularly. I grew it for a year, and couldnt take it. So I started straightening it and damaged the ends really bad even while using protectors and keeping it heavily conditioned. So now I'm just embracing it letting my hair grow until my curls hang the way I want em. I get ALOT of compliments from the girls on my hair when I leave it alone. That is a pro I guess.
