I was sorely dissapointed that they didn't get into 'The Twins' Maharet and Makhare. The twins were the ones who actually killed Akasha, and in a pretty interesting way too.

Meh.

Syntinen, you are missing a lot of big chunks of the story(s) by listening to them on audio cassette.

I use to have a very cool collectors edition set of the first 3 chronicles on audio tape, which came in a fancy-schmancy slide-out case shaped like a coffin. Inside, each book on tape was in its own slip cover. turn them over on one side and they all made claudia. the other side all made Louis. and a card insert was Lestat, signed by Mrs. Rice herself. (this was prior to the film, so it was different models used, and mass produced of course, no authentic sig). Anyway, I treasured them, when I was 15. The point is, I listened to them all many times, after having read the books, and there are many parts that are left out of the cassettes. I can't recall now - some 16 to 17 years later - exactly what parts were left out, but its quite possible the story of "Those Who Must Be Kept" was not included, or passed over briefly, on the audio version [of TVL]. I do remember specifically the part in Interview when Claudia and Louis are scouring Europe looking for other vampires, the only evidence they found was a town that was being preyed upon by an ogre vamp. Its all in the book, but skipped over in the cassette and film.

Anyway - In short, read the books.

Would you find yourself [or]
Find yourself afraid to see?..." -NIN

i prefer to read a book rather than have it read to me. that way you can listen to any kind of music you want and read at the same time. but i have nothin against and audio book.

It's hard for me to concentrate on a book while I'm listening to music. I always have to sing along, so I'm more focused on the lyrics of the song then the words in the book.

Personally I have to see the words to get really into the text... If not I start pocking my nails; anyways, while reading I dont mind the tv, but i know the song I sing along!!!!......hehehehehe

Annie Rice.... i guess I have to try one, once and for all. I haven't yet beacuse I dont know why, i guess i dont want to do what all the others are doing...some stupid bullshit of mine....
My friends are fans of her..... they said she is kind of good.

I agree with Natasshha. I have to see the text to get into the book. If not then I'm mostly likly to get lost in thought.
