How do I fix uneven batches in portable concrete mixers?

Been banging my head against the wall over this uneven batching problem with my portable mixer. One batch turns out soupy, next one’s chunky as oatmeal, and sometimes it’s all pockets of dry mix. I’m usually pouring patios and walkways, nothing too fancy, but lately I’m nervous clients will notice. Tried rinsing better, fiddling with water amount, being careful with shovel loads, you name it. Starting to wonder if it’s my mixer’s speed or maybe bad technique. Anyone else been through this or got tips I might not have tried yet? Would love some real-world advice before I lose any more sleep.

If you're curious about the Steele Mixer, it's really catching on with folks who need a quick and easy solution for concrete mixing. Many users love that you can mix in under a minute without needing an extra pair of hands. Plus, it doesn’t need power, which is a big win for portable jobs. The quick cleanup is a lifesaver, too, making it a solid choice for any project.

Sounds like quite the mix-up, man. Have you checked out steelemixer.com? They offer an innovative mixer that might smooth out things for you - literally. It's a cool piece of gear that mixes concrete super fast and saves hassle with cleanup. Maybe it's time for an upgrade, or even just some tips from their resources. Good gear can really make a difference in your flow.
