If it makes you happy to think there's only one way to reach a specific result, be my guest, the thing is I'm talking from personal experience (and I did point it out) as a professional in the field also (even if, young as I am, I have far less).
(don't ask me to explain every bit of it like you did, because, in english, I wouldn't know where to begin, I'm not familiar with the proper terminology, not in english)
Also I think everyone has the right to view make-up from their own prospective, as such, I respect your opinion and experience.
Now, I do admit I wasn't specific enough and that some bits are confusing, especially the bit of 'applying foundation down to the neck line'; I meant when foundation is a different tone than your own, obviously, if it was (your tone) then there'd be no mask to watch out for.
Also I agree with you that not everbody needs foundation, that's why I said "if you like foundation", it's a personal choice; I, for one, rarely wear any 'cause I don't need it; and I handle the pancake in a way it ends up absolutely invisible... I guess I could have elaborated my thought a bit more then.^^
It is also true that pancake clots the pores, so, if used, has to be removed before going to sleep, at least, or pimples are going to have a field day on your face.
Now this looks officially like a Beuty magazine....XD quite sad...

The sarcasm in your post wasn't very obvious, at least to me. You can't hear the tone in people's voices on a literary site so maybe next time you should make what your literary tone is painfully clear.

but for those who dont its a simple black line running down ur face over one eye( or possibly 2 , but dat doesnt work very well)

Being a girl, I'm not an expert on this, but I have a friend who only wears make-up to parties and stuff, and when he does he wears a LOT, the whole pale face, dark eyes, red lips deal, well, hope that helps ^_^
