Can you all help me out and tell me why pics are now links. Who did what, when, how, why and to who. I go away for a few days and things start going to hell.

e_p_s has been BUSTING ASS on the boards recently, trying to clean up a variety of messes left here by miscreants with nothing better to do than clutter various threads with their garbage. as a singular measure to reduce said garbage, all pictures throughout gothic.net will now be presented as links and it will be the prerogative of each member to decide whether or not he or she would like to view the link.

that's the reason, in a nutshell.

and when i say e_p_s has been busting ass, i mean it.

*edit* - wow. in the five minutes it took for me to get that out (i'm at work), there were a slew of other messages, incl. a couple from the master obliterator herself.

it works here but it's a tiny pic. I did make it bigger using Irfanview. The pic got bigger alright but on the link it’s still small.

As disappointed as I am that the posting of images in threads is discontinued, I was surprised it wasn't done before this. I particularly thought about this when I received some helpful guidance from you and E_E on the relative risque nature of some pictures I posted in Sexuality and the joke thread. I did think that there was the potential for one obscene picture (or a copyrighted picture, for that matter) to cause the end of GNet.

Not all solutions are elegant, but at times we must just be grateful that there ARE solutions. Plus, I am pleased about anything that reduces your workload.

If you like this site, this community and the good members here half as much as I think you do, I would never want the task of moderating to take all the fun out of being here for you. I think it's been close to that point at times recently.

If you have truly uploaded a resized picture, then you just need to hit the refresh button on your browser when you are looking at it, and the change should be visible.

Yes, I do care about this community and many of its members, like family.

And yes, all of the fun has gone out of it lately..

All the bullshit has really worn me out, and given me its share of grey hairs recently.

I do try and do too much by myself out of love for everyone here, and thankfully we have Wolfie as a Mod now. Plus E_E will be on as much as he can while he deals with some personal things he has going on.

Thank you for recognizing the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, trying to keep this place drama free. Sometimes it does feel like a thankless job, because most of my efforts aren't always visible to our members. A lot of things are removed or edited before people even see them.

It feels good to be appreciated for the time and effort I donate to Gothic.net

You're 14? Then disregard my resenting post, even if it was a joke.

And you have a lip pericing. So lucky. That really threw me off because I don't live my father, and my mom won't allow peircings. Well, when I'm 16, I can get a brow peircing, but that's it. She won't even let me get an industrial piercing.
