| Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Alright! Someone else who knows of the fantastic band Black Ice! Have you ever seen them live? I mean, since you live in San Francisco, where they are (were) based?
Listening to:
Amusement Parks on Fire - Local Boy Makes God
Gauzy and ethereal shoegazer rock. This track, the last on the self-titled album, is basically just a blurry wash of slow-burning guitar atmospherics.

Love your sig, rubedo. Blonde Redhead is one of my favorite bands, especially the earlier stuff. Although "Misery is a Butterfly" is a lovely album, too.
Listening to a really good hardcore band from Vancouver:
Go it Alone - Water Finds its Own Level

Nice pic, e_e. I kind of miss the '80s - when rock stars looked like rock stars!!
Listening to Covenant: Call the Ships to Port

E_E, you're a fucking legend. I just love it when you post yet another Motley Crue picture!
I agree with Tall One. I'm a real sucker for the 80s rock star image, especially when it's glam hair metal style.

That's great!
Santarea's children will have Nikki Sixx's hair style, but with Santarea's hair colour.

Song and Dance Man
--------------------
Last night I felt a wind
of change blow through me.
It spoke of a million things
before I die I should see.
Open up your eyes.
Life is poetry in motion.
Ride the open sky
I'll be ok as soon as I'm on my way
I am a song and dance man
Yes, I am a song and dance man
Woman. Oh, woman, sometimes I hear your voice.
It calls out to me,
makes my heart bleed.
Haven't got any chance.
Open my eyes.
Life is poetry in motion
Ride the open sky.
I'll be ok as soon as I'm on my way.
I am a song and dance man
Oh yes I am, a song and dance man
I am a song and dance man
Tokyo has rolling thunder
beautiful women and warm summer rain
Honolulu has stars of fire
words alone cannot explain
Open up your eyes
Spread your wings and fly
Oh Lord I am a song and dance man
Oh Lord I am a song and dance man
That's what I am
A song and dance man
- fuckin' beautiful -

New Order - The Village
I hereby cast my vote for New Order as the best "sunday morning band" in the world. Granted, it's not that long ago since I got up, after a late night of gaming and Lost-watching... But this feeling -- sitting with a cup of coffee and a smoke as the sun sets at half past four -- it rules my pants. Perfect listening right now.
The "Power, Corruption and Lies" -album is what I'm talking about, but anything by them would fit perfectly for that 'waking up' -phase I'm in right now.
