Hardcore Jesus
Jesus is the true way to me. Despite my habits of the occult, sex, drinking, parting, gambling ect. Everyone knows that deep down inside they are a sinner and that if they don't repent they are going to go to hell. Trust in the lord because he is the way.

Um, are you serious? Because I'm too sleep deprived to tell.

I really don't like you and I want you to go away in a hurry. Seriously, I get in these conversations all the time with people, telling them not to judge Christianity by some ideal-pushing assholes, and then someone like you comes in here acting like an idiot, posting evangelical messages about people's eternal souls when all they want to do is converse and have a good time.
We do have civil discussions here about religion and spirituality, but you are crossing the line. No, everyone DOESN'T 'know' that deep down they are a 'sinner', and it sure as hell isn't your business telling them so.
If you really want to make a good impression on people for Jesus then just converse with them normally and stop being a religious nut.
Thank you, that it all.

Well I'd almost feel bad doin' this shit to a preacher man but for you I'll make an exception...
You suck, even without a solid religion we here are less judgmental and more accepting then ass lumps like you. I go to great lengths to avoid being preached to and no one is going to tell me the right way to live, I'm a big girl I can decide for myself and so can everyone else. So, what makes you think you have the authority or even the right to sell your way of life to anyone? Request from god perhaps? Call him on his cell often do ya? You can give all the Christian based ‘advice’ you want but don’t even think about trying to ’reform’ anyone…I don’t preach about my choice of worship to you… so go sell your repentance shit to someone gullible enough to buy it.
I’m only going to ask once… if you want any respect don't solicit your Christian tripe here.

I, myself am a Christian...but you, brother, have taken it too far. We have something in this country called freedom of religion. For your squat little brain, that means that anyone can worship in any way they want without having to be tormented by religious persecutors like yourself. So please do me and every other good Christian a favor: kindly go far far away where nobody will see your desparate attempts to make us look worse than we already do. Do the non-Christians a favor as well: go far far away and swallow a grenade.

Some of my best friends are Catholic. Really, they are. I just figured they were the most hard core out of all the Christians I knew and if he was Catholic I could tell him to lick the Pope's boots.

It was meant as a joke. I knew what you meant, I wasn't offended or anything like that.
Keep on keepin' on.

Well thank you dear But we digress. We were taking about being forced to choke on someone else's religion?

No, Omar's right. He so must be Catholic, 'cause he doesn't talk about not sinning ("despite my habits of the occult, sex, drinking, parting, gambling etc") - he just talks about all being forgiven as soon as he decides to confess and repent!
[Disclaimer: I love the pope]

Heh - I love Catholics. They are usually the most guilt-ridden folkses around, but they'll deny until they're blue in the face. Even the former Catholic anti-Catholics still get mad if you tease them about Catholicism. An amusing breed.

Ha. I'm sure if I were Catholic I'd love the Pope too. I like that he's German. I'm a member of the ELCA incase anyone was wondering where I fit in this whole picture. I'm sort of Catholic light...just I believe that you actually should be saved for being a good person and believing...not by the sacraments (I think that's what they are). Follow?
Luther rocks my world.
(disclaimer - I think all good people should be saved. Just because you don't believe in "God" as we call him/her, doesn't mean you're going to hell. I am a firm believer of freedom of religion. I think faith is just something to give you hope and something to look forward to. Anything within those confines is fair game.)

I've said it before and I'll say it again - why is there absolutely no room for manoeuvre in the no contraception rule, but plenty of room for - er - manoeuvres in the no sex before marriage rule?
Although, the school where I found this out was pretty pikey overall. So it may have more to do with that than Catholicism in general. Sigh. Life is confusing.

Me personally - I am somewhat Xtian. I say somewhat, because I don't like to associate with the mainstream Christian way of thought (but I respect anyone here who earnestly does). I don't think you have to do all these crazy things to get 'saved'. Man, if Jesus thought it was so damn important to be baptized, or go to church and be an official member, he would've said so. But he didn't, he spent most of his time telling people not to judge each other, to have love in their hearts, and to not listen to the status quo. So, I personally believe that you have to figure out what works for you and not let someone else - especially someone who wants your money - tell you what to believe.
*deep breath*
Okay, I think that covers it.

I agree. I don't make it to church...hardly ever, but I know what I believe and I know where it's taking me. I know where my prayers are going and I accept others for what they believe and who they are (unless they're dumb ).

Hate to agree with Brother S - but HOW amazing was Jesus, really? Yeah, yeah, I know - obvious post alert. But back when I believed in God I just kind of took Jesus for granted - yeah, he was God's son, he was very good, blah blah... It's only since I've started viewing him as human being that I'm starting to grasp just how visionary his teachings and philosophies were, for someone raised into the faith that preceded him, and just how fucking crazy the locals must have thought he was!

I am not saying that he's not, on a scale of one to awesome, super great....I'm just saying that we don't need to be TOLD what to believe by someone else. We are all old enough to make up our own minds here (most of us) and I think we should be allowed to.

Trust in the Lord because he is the way, trust me I am being honest."
P.S: I got locked up today in a drive-by but I am out now thanks to my buddies busting me out of the grey bar hotel.

Well, that's because you are secretly evil Omar - a wolf in sheep's clothing of the kind the Big Man warned us about... All good Christians should listen to Brother S because he knows where God will send you if you don't repent.
Since BS (anyone notice the irony of the initials?) apparently holds so much sway with God, maybe we should really be ass-licking. He might put in a word for us.
